KMSNEWSLETTER

Dear KMS Families,

Here are some recent and upcoming highlights at Kodiak Middle School:

PTSA Appreciation - A heartfelt thank you to our PTSA members for their efforts at this week’s meeting. As we move forward, we plan to regularly recognize volunteers who make a difference in our school.

Spirit Week - Spirit Week kicks off next week, with daily themes to encourage school pride and participation. Refer to the flyer below and the weekly planner for each day's theme.

Winter Fest & Line Dancing - Next Friday, 12/20, students will enjoy a fun-filled Winter Fest, including line dancing and other activities to celebrate the season. If you'd like to join us, see the flyer below for more information.

New Hat Policy - Starting January 7th, a new hat policy will take effect, thanks to the hard work of our student government. This change reflects the dedication of our student body in making their voices heard and creating a positive impact on school policies.

  • Allowed: Hats, head coverings, or beanies that do not cover the ears or cause a distraction to the educational process.
  • Teacher Discretion: Teachers may decide if hats are permitted in their classrooms.
  • Not Allowed: Hats that cover ears and hoods.

MAP Testing Results - MAP results will be sent home in January, included with Q2 report cards.

As always, thank you for staying connected with KMS. We appreciate your support as we continue to celebrate our community and student achievements.
