Dear KRS Families,

Happy March! Finally, some snow! Author Troy Cimmings postponed his flight home to Indiana so that he could present in person to Kings Road School students today. Thank you to the KRS PTO, Madison Education Foundation, and to media specialist Ms. Thomas for making the visit possible.

Next week, on March 8, 2023 is the annual KRS STEAM Fair. Our KRS scientists will be showcasing their STEAM projects for their peers during the school day and for their families from 5:30 PM to 6:30 PM in the KRS multi-purpose room. Congratulations to the student participants and thank you to STEAM teacher Mrs. Conner for coordinating the event.

Thank you Miss aurilia! Welcome Ms. Rymut!

In April, Speech-Language Pathologist Miss Christina Aurilia is leaving the Madison School District. At the February 28, 2023 Madison Board of Education Meeting, Ms. Jayne Rymut was approved as her replacement. She was selected by a committee of Madison professionals, which included Assistant Superintendent Dr. Santora, Director of Special Services Dr. Seminario, Speech-Language Pathologist Mrs. Munoz, and Dr. Koop. Ms. Rymut is an experienced speech-language pathologist and her start in our district will begin approximately May 1, 2023. We thank Miss Aurilia for her work at Kings Road School and warmly welcome Ms. Rymut.

Rebellion is high in Matilda JR., a gleefully witty ode to the anarchy of childhood and the power of imagination! This story of a girl who dreams of a better life and the children she inspires will have audiences rooting for the "revolting children" who are out to teach the grown-ups a lesson. Appropriate for all ages.

Little Women the Musical | @MHS

Based on Louisa May Alcott's life, Little Women follows the adventures of sisters Jo, Meg, Beth, and Amy March. Jo is trying to sell her stories for publication, but the publishers are not interested. Her friend, Professor Bhaer, tells her that she has to do better and write more from herself. Begrudgingly taking this advice, Jo weaves the story of herself and her sisters and their experience growing up in Civil War America. Appropriate for all ages.
