Madison High School Updates
September 6th, 2026
Message from Mrs. Thomas
Happy Labor Day! I hope MHS Families are having a wonderful Labor Day Weekend! We look forward to starting our 3rd week of school on Tuesday, September 8th!
PBIS Back-to-School Celebration!
This past Tuesday, September 1st, we held our PBIS Kick-Off Assembly and Schoolwide Celebration! We started the afternoon in the Performing Arts Center where staff were introduced (ask which department had the best walk-up music😊), our schoolwide matrix was shared and our Acknowledgement System was reviewed. Members of our Student R.I.S.E. Team did a fantastic job preparing a slideshow to teach our school technology expectations to the entire student body! Next week we will review our expectations in Common Areas (hallways, cafeteria, restrooms, parking lot, busses and locker rooms).
After our PBIS Assembly, students were given the afternoon to enjoy time together outside. Despite the extreme heat, it was a great afternoon celebrating the start of the new school year! Special thanks to our food vendors (The Fizz Rig, Hannah's Shaved Ice, Jenny's Diner, Katie's Kakes, and the Madison Athletic Boosters), Mr. Pape for the use of his strobe lights, fog machine and foam party and the Madison Fire Department for providing students a chance to cool off and play in the water hose! We are excited for another great year at MHS!

Classroom Highlights
The Tardy Terminators (aka Mrs. Thomas and Mrs. Girbach) were out cruising the hallways this week fighting student tardiness. Congratulations to Mrs. Jackler's and Ms. Tenhove's 4th hour students who were all on time for class!
