Bulldog Bulletin
Week of 5/25/25
Principal's Greeting
Dear Churchill Families,
We have a packed week of events ahead as we end off the school year. From walking field trips to Field Day, and fun surprises in between (Talent Show and Wheel of Wisdom).
If you’ve been selected as a chaperone, please stop by the main office to pick up your visitor badge before heading to your assigned location. Kindly remember that children who are not students should not accompany you, as this may interfere with your ability to effectively chaperone.
As we approach the final stretch, please encourage your student to finish strong by reinforcing our Bulldog Best Behavior expectations: Be Safe, Be Respectful, and Be Responsible.
Star Benchmark Assessment Family Reports were sent home with students on Friday. Please take time to review the results, and don’t hesitate to contact your child’s teacher with any questions.
Enjoy the long weekend, and thank you for your continued support!
Warmly,
Mrs. Peacock
Churchill's Art Show
A heartfelt thank you to Mrs. Siegler for leading the charge on Wednesday night’s incredible Art Show! Her vision and dedication brought the event to life in the most vibrant way.
Special thanks also go to the amazing staff and parent volunteers who worked behind the scenes to help display the student artwork. It was truly a Herculean effort, and we are so grateful to Mrs. Kirk, Ms. Carr, Mrs. Brackin, Mrs. Yehudah, Mrs. Sledge, Mrs. Bailey, Mrs. Cole, and Mrs. Kalejaiye for their time and support in making it all possible.
And last, but certainly not least, thank you to all the families who came out to support our young artists and purchased their masterpieces. Your presence and enthusiasm made the event a true success!
Enjoy a few highlights from the evening below:

Early Act Club
Congratulations to Mrs. Lindquist and the students of the Early Act Club. This year they recycled paper, shared encouraging posters around the school and collected several items to donate to the South Suburban Humane Society. As a reward they received a visit from Sheila, a dog from the SHS. We are so grateful for these Bulldogs for thinking of others including our 4-legged friends. Bravo!
A Special Ride to School
Congrats to this Bulldog for winning a raffle and getting a ride to school in a Homewood Public Works vehicle. Way to go Emi!
Class Pictures by VanGogh
Class pictures went home last week. If there are any questions, please contact VanGogh at (847) 382-2282.
Toys at School
We kindly ask that you do not allow your student to bring personal items to school. These items can easily be misplaced and often become distractions during the school day.
Please note: Toy weapons of any kind, including toy guns, are not permitted at school under any circumstances. Bringing such items will be treated as a serious matter in accordance with school policy.
Thank you for your understanding and support in helping us maintain a safe and focused learning environment.
