Religious Education Program Message
ST. CATHERINE OF SIENA PARISH
Final Class Celebration and Upcoming Announcements
Monday, May 11 and Tuesday, May 12
Dear Families,
To celebrate the end of a wonderful Religious Education year, we will be enjoying Italian ice during our last class. We are so grateful for the joy, faith, and light your children have brought to our program this year.
During our final session, the children will also have a special lesson on Pentecost, when the Holy Spirit came upon the Apostles and gave them courage to go out and share the Good News. As Jesus promised, “You will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes upon you, and you will be my witnesses” (Acts 1:8). This is a beautiful way to close our year, remembering that the same Holy Spirit continues to guide, strengthen, and inspire us today.
I want to thank you, our parents, as well as our dedicated catechists and volunteers, who help make our parish's Religious Education Program so vibrant, welcoming, and faith-filled.
A few announcements as we look ahead:
JOIN US - MOTHER'S DAY
You are warmly invited to join us for our Mother’s Day May Crowning at the 10:00 AM and 11:30 AM Masses on Sunday, May 10.

We are looking for volunteers to help distribute flowers to the mothers of the parish after the 10:00 AM and 11:30 AM Masses. If you would like your children to help, please email me.
All mothers will be recognized with a special blessing - Happy Mother's Day!
2026-2027 PROGRAM
Registration and Save the Date
As we look ahead to next year, we are excited to share that registration for the 2026–2027 Religious Education Program will open next week.
Upon registration, families will be added to Flocknote, which we will use in addition to email newsletters to help keep families connected and informed throughout the year.
Our first week of classes will begin the week of September 21.
New Faith Formation Spaces: Where Faith Comes Alive
As we look ahead to the 2026–2027 Religious Education year, we are excited to share a glimpse of what is coming next.
Through the generous support of a parishioner, we are blessed to begin creating new spaces that will help our children and families encounter the Catholic faith in fresh, creative, and prayerful ways. More details will be shared soon, but we are excited to share this first glimpse of what is ahead.
Created in Christ Art Studio
This new room will give our children a special space to explore the Catholic faith through hands-on art projects inspired by Scripture, the saints, the sacraments, the liturgical seasons, and the beauty of Catholic tradition. Used alongside our regular curriculum, the Art Studio will invite children to use their hands, hearts, and imaginations to discover the beauty of our faith in a creative and memorable way.
Garden of Grace
This outdoor space will give our children a peaceful place to experience faith beyond the classroom. Used alongside our regular curriculum, the garden will invite children to notice the beauty of God’s creation, practice gratitude, and discover how prayer can happen in the quiet moments of the day.
Our Lady’s Prayer Room
This dedicated prayer space will provide our children with a quiet, welcoming place to learn about Mary and grow in prayer. Used alongside our regular curriculum, Our Lady’s Prayer Room will help children reflect on Mary’s love for Jesus, learn simple Marian prayers, and discover how Our Blessed Mother always leads us closer to her Son.
Faith & Family Café
While children are in class, parents will be invited to gather in a welcoming hospitality space for coffee, conversation, formation resources, and connection with other families.
We are also looking for adult and youth volunteers to help bring these new spaces to life. If you have gifts in hospitality, art, gardening, prayer, organization, or simply a willing heart, we would love to hear from you.
Thank you for your referrals and for sharing our program with other families. Your support helps our Religious Education Program continue to grow as a vibrant, welcoming, and faith-filled place for children and families.
As we enter the summer months, we pray this season brings your family rest, renewal, and time together. Thank you again for a beautiful Religious Education year.
May God bless your families abundantly. We look forward to seeing you at Mass as we continue to grow together in faith.
With gratitude,
Laura
