🍁 Davis Connect K-12 Fall Festival Fundraiser
Join us for the Davis Connect K-12 Fall Festival Fundraiser on Friday, October 23, from 5:00-6:30 PM at the Davis Connect Building! Bring the whole family for an evening of fun featuring games, trick-or-treating, and a cupcake eating contest. Punch passes and Chick-fil-A meal options will be available for purchase, and all proceeds will help support student activities and programs. We also welcome donations and volunteers to help make this event a success. We look forward to celebrating the fall season with our Davis Connect community!
SHARPS Survey
Between October 1–30, Davis Connect K-6 Online will administer the Student Health and Risk Prevention (SHARP) Survey to students in grades 6, 8, 10, and 12. SHARP has given us insight into what our students are facing for more than 20 years, helping parents know what to talk about with their kids and helping schools, health departments, and community partners better support students.
Only students whose parents gave consent earlier this year, during the registration processes, will take part. Participation is voluntary, students may skip questions or stop at any time without penalty. All responses are anonymous and confidential. Questions? Visit the district's Assessment & Surveys page. For SHARP FAQs and statewide results, visit sumh.utah.gov/data-reports/sharp-survey.
K-6 Activity Spotlight
On October 1, Davis Connect K–3 students explored the wonders of the rainforest with a hands-on presentation from the Loveland Living Planet Aquarium! Students discovered rainforest layers, played “Name the Smell,” acted like rainforest animals, and met a tarantula, felt sloth fur, and learned about Inky, a South American horned frog.

Attendance Matters
Elementary Attendance Policy
Attendance requirements for K-6 students:

- Students who are below grade level are required to attend Tier 2 small group instruction per SB241.
- If your student is on an IEP, they must attend their special education classes at least 80% of the time.

🧡 October is Bullying Prevention Month
Be Kind • Be Inclusive • Speak Up
October is Bullying Prevention Month, and at Davis Connect, we want to remind our students and families that kindness, respect, and inclusion matter, even in an online learning environment. We all play a part in creating a safe and welcoming community where every student feels supported. Encourage your student to speak up, reach out to a trusted adult when they need help, and remember that even small acts of kindness can make a big difference. Together, we can help create a community where everyone belongs.
