Tasty Tuesday
Thank you to our PTO for our sliced apple treats! Thank you for showing up for us time and time again.
Sunshine
A little sweetness for some pretty sweet teachers! Our Sunshine Committee was spreading smiles and appreciation by bringing the pie to our amazing teachers! We are so thankful for all they do each and every day, and we hope this little treat reminded them just how much they are loved and appreciated. Because our teachers deserve a little extra sunshine (and a slice of pie, too)!

Water Balloon Bonanza
If students rgistered for the fundraiser and added 10 contacts, they will participate in the Water Balloon Bonanza next Friday. They will be able to throw a water balloon at the admin of their choosing.
More info to come on the outcome of the PTO fundraiser soon!
Christmas Decor?
If you have any old (or new) Christmas lights, Christmas trees, or even inflatables, we would love them! We are looking for decorations to help make our December Winter Wonderland a magical experience.
GT Expo 11/5
Intermediate students’ roller coaster projects were on display at the GT expo yesterday. The projects defied the odds through twists, turns, drops, and tunnels! Thank you, Ms. Rainey, for all of your guidance and support.
Attendance Reminders
Intermediate Attendance Policy-
Documentation after Absence
When a student is absent from school, the student must bring a note signed by the parent explaining the reason for the absence or a doctor’s note. Parent notes will not be accepted after 5 days from the date of the absence. Magnolia Intermediate will accept up to 5 parent notes per semester.
After 10 unexcused absences, the district may file a complaint against the student’s parent/guardian in a justice court, municipal court, or county court for the criminal offense of a parent contributing to nonattendance of school. The citation will be determined by the district truancy officer.
Doctor’s Note after the Absence for Illness
Upon returning to school, a student absent for more than 5 consecutive days due to a personal illness must bring a statement from a doctor or health clinic verifying the illness or condition that caused the extended absence.
We are beginning to offer Seat Time ( Tues/Thur 7:25-7:55am) for students whose attendance has dropped below 90% for the year thus far.
Attendance Incentives
ATTENDANCE BLITZ DAY
The grade-level with the highest attendance percentage today will receive open seating at lunch Mon-Wed next week!
If you are present today during 3rd period your name has been entered into the attendance raffle for Lunch Buddy Pass
Smart Tag
Students return tomorrow, Wednesday, November 4! Is your family SMART Tag ready?
Please make sure your student has their SMART Tag ready to scan when boarding and exiting the bus. Carrying their tag every day and having it ready to scan helps prevent delays during loading and unloading.
The SMART Tag Parent App allows parents to see when and where their student boards or exits the bus and receive real-time updates. The primary parent (listed first in the Parent Portal or student’s account) must download and log in first.
Need help? Email smarttaghelpGROUP@magnoliaisd.org. Phone support during route times is limited.
