SCHEDULE RELEASE & CHANGE REQUESTS FOR 2026-27:
Final student schedules for the 2026-27 school year will be released to students and families on August 3rd. As schedules were released to students and parents in May, the opportunity to request changes was provided at that time.
Schedule change requests will be accepted for the following reasons only:
A student passed a summer school class (e.g., English 9, Math 1), and no longer needs this class on their schedule.
A workplace co-op or youth apprenticeship was arranged during the summer months and a schedule is required to reflect this opportunity.
A student is credit deficient or missing a class that is required to graduate and needs to add this to their schedule.
If a schedule change is necessary, please pick up an Add/Drop Form in Student Services. All forms must be completed (parent/guardian signature) and returned to Student Services by August 17th at 3:00 PM.
HOW TO MAKE A SCHEDULE CHANGE REQUEST
At times, students may find it necessary to make changes to their schedules and it's important to understand the process and guidelines for submitting a request.
1. Schedule Change Policy
Before submitting a request for a schedule change, it's essential to identify why you need the change. Please review the options below before making a request. Changes will depend on the enrollment size of the class you're dropping and the class you're adding.
I am requesting to take a block off.
My teacher suggested a change.
My schedule contains a class that I have already taken and passed.
I have a class that I cannot take because I am missing a prerequisite.
I am missing a required course for graduation, or I am credit deficient.
I have obtained a job for my youth apprenticeship.
Schedule Change Window: Schedule changes will be considered only until the end of the second day of each quarter, but students are encouraged to review their schedule in early August and request a change ASAP. After that time, changes will only be made under special circumstances. If a student is dropping a semester-long course between quarters, they are required to have a conversation with their teacher and have their teacher sign their drop form.
Grade Impact: If you drop a class after the add/drop period, a grade of "WF" (Withdrawn Failing) will be issued. This grade will affect your grade point average (GPA) and could impact your class rank.
Online Course Request: After submitting your add/drop form, you must complete the required online skills course to enroll in an online class. Failure to complete the skills course will result in your request being denied, and you will remain in your current schedule.
3. Submitting Your Request
If your reason meets the criteria for a schedule change, complete an add/drop form (available in Student Services) and submit it with any required documentation. Be sure to include your reasoning and supporting details. Staff will review your request, and any approved changes will appear in Infinite Campus. Until your schedule is updated, you must attend your current classes to avoid unexcused absences.
4. Note to Seniors
Colleges seek to admit students who challenge themselves by taking a rigorous curriculum throughout high school. Before requesting a schedule change, make sure to get permission from all colleges/universities you've applied to. Changing your schedule without their consent may jeopardize your acceptance status. Universities have stated that if you're already accepted and change your schedule without their approval, you may lose your acceptance offer.
