Hello Donald Eismann Explorers!

We hope you are enjoying the last few weeks of summer! We have been working hard preparing for an OUT OF THIS WORLD school year! Please read below for important information regarding our Back to School Night, school supplies, classrooms and a special PTA event.

Important Dates and Information

School Office Opens August 25!

Our office will reopen to the public on Thursday, August 25. If you need to contact Administration please email dee@sumnersd.org or bobbi_snider@sumnersd.org. We will be happy to assist you with any questions you may have regarding the upcoming school year.

Back to School Night!

Please join us at our Back to School Night on Thursday, September 1 from 4:00-6:00 pm. During this event your child will meet their teacher, visit their classroom, tour the school and meet our wonderful PTA. Families will have the ability to pay for school lunches and school supplies at the event.

With our school population approaching 700 students, we are asking our families to attend Back to School Night at the designated times below. Please pay your school supply fee online to ensure you have enough time to see your teacher, PTA and our specialist.

Thursday, September 1

4:00 - 4:30 pm A-C

4:30 - 5:00 pm D-J

5:00 - 5:30 pm K-O

5:30 - 6:00 pm P-Z

If you are a new family to Donald Eismann and your child is in grades 1-5, please join us for a meet and greet prior to open house at 3:30 pm in the gymnasium. During this time you will learn about our arrival and dismissal procedures as well as meet our administrative team. At 4:00 pm new families are welcome to join the A-C group.

Classroom Assignments

Our office staff will be working hard next week processing summer registrations and working with our team to place new students. Look for a communication next week explaining when you will be able to access your child's teacher on family access. Thank you for your patience as we process our registrations from this summer.

School Supplies

Just like last year, in order to provide some relief from back-to-school shopping, Donald Eismann Elementary is asking families to contribute a $25 donation per child to cover the cost of school supplies. You are now able to pay through Family Access.

Instructions for Online Payment of School Supply Donation of $25 (this covers supplies for your student this year).

Hover over SCHOOLS on the top banner
Click on grades K-12
Scroll down to elementary schools and click on DEE
Click on the dollar bill icon “Online Payments”
Click on the link “Direct payment Link Here”
Log in with your username and password (same as Family Access).
Click on your student that you would like to make a payment for
Click on “Shop”
Click on “Items at Student School”
Click on item you would like to pay
“School Supplies” “Grade Level” “Donation”

If you are able to contribute more than $25 to support a child in need, please feel free to increase your donation. (If you are unable to make the full donation, you may select a lesser amount.) Thank you for supporting our Donald Eismann classrooms!

If your child is in need of a free backpack please let us know and we will have one for you at the back to school night. dee@sumnersd.org

Incoming Kindergarten Families

All families with incoming kindergarten students will be receiving information regarding their individual Family Connection meeting with their respective teacher. Families will receive communication regarding this meeting by August 26. The kindergarten connection meetings will take place at Donald Eismann Elementary September 6-8. The first day of kindergarten is Friday, September 9. We can't wait to see our incoming kinders!

Free and Reduced Lunch

During the 22/23 school year we will NO longer be serving free breakfast and lunch to ALL students. Students who qualify for free and reduced lunch meals will have access to theses services. Please take time to complete the free and reduced meal application.
