Eagle Pride Newsletter
Arbor Creek Families,
We hope this message finds you enjoying a restful and fun-filled summer! As we prepare to kick off the 2025–2026 school year, we want to extend a warm welcome to both our returning families and those who are new to the Eagle community. We are thrilled to have your student join us for what promises to be an exciting and successful year at Arbor Creek Middle School.
At Arbor Creek, we believe that middle school is a time of growth, exploration, and opportunity. Our incredible staff is committed to creating a safe, inclusive, and engaging learning environment where each student is encouraged to soar. From academics to extracurriculars, we are focused on helping every Eagle reach their highest potential.
This year, we are especially excited about the new opportunities awaiting our students—new faces, new learning experiences, and continued traditions that make Arbor Creek a special place to learn and grow. We also look forward to partnering with you throughout the year. Your involvement and support play a crucial role in your child’s success, and we are grateful for the strong sense of community that defines Arbor Creek.
Be sure to check your email and our school social medias regularly for updates, event dates, and helpful information to ensure a smooth and successful start to the year.

Set Up Parent Notifications in Skyward
Parents, if you would like to make sure you stay aware of your child's grades, we encourage you to setup notifications in Skyward. See the screen shot below
Absence Portal
Parents should provide a note, documenting the reason for the absence, to the school immediately upon the child’s return, and not later than three days after the absence. If the child was seen by a health care provider, a note from that provider is always preferred. If the student was present PART of the school day and missed the remainder for a health care appointment, a note from that provider should be given to the school within 3 days. In this circumstance, the time away from school is NOT considered an absence.
Check Out Procedure
If you need to check out your child early, please email our attendance clerk, Susan Lee, that morning, if possible. Her email address is LeeSusan@lisd.net
When you arrive at the school, you will need to ring the doorbell and show your driver's license to gain entry to the building. Once you are inside It will take a few minutes for us to send for your child, so please plan accordingly if you are headed to an appointment. We will not call students out of class before your arrival.
**PLEASE MAKE SURE THAT YOU HAVE GIVEN PICK-UP PERMISSIONS IN SKYWARD TO EVERY PERSON YOU INTEND TO PICK UP YOUR CHILD, INCLUDING EMERGENCY CONTACTS. You can edit this information in the 2025 - 2026 Forms Packet in Skyward Family Access. There are individual boxes that must be checked in order to give pick-up permissions.
Building Entry Time
8:15 a.m. Students will not be able to enter the building before that time. This is a change from previous years.
Cell Phone Policy
Students will be required to put personal devices/cell phones away in their backpack from the time they enter the building in the morning until the dismissal bell. Students also are not allowed to use iPads during lunch. iPads maybe used during the morning and during class periods.
You can reach your student through their school email address or by calling the front office if it's an emergency.
