April 2026
ADMINISTRATION'S MESSAGE
PRINCIPAL'S MESSAGE
Dear Families,
As we begin the month of April, we are entering an important stretch of the school year. With the third quarter coming to a close, we encourage all students to stay focused, keep up with their assignments, and seek support when needed.
April will be a busy month filled with a variety of academic and extracurricular opportunities. Students will be preparing for upcoming assessments, including AP exams, while also participating in spring activities, performances, and athletics. We are proud of the many ways our students continue to stay engaged both inside and outside the classroom.
Please continue to check in with your students about their progress and reach out to teachers or counselors with any questions or concerns. Your partnership plays a vital role in supporting student success.
Thank you for your continued support of our school community.
With Wildcat Pride,
Mr. Anthony T. Hibbert, Principal

SHS World Language Honor Societies Flourish in Spring!
This March, our Spanish honor society visited Spaulding second grade classes and taught the students colors and the Spanish language equivalents for the life cycle of a frog, a concept they learned earlier this year. This was our third out of four visits. This out-reach program, led by senior Olivia Mishtal, has been one of the highlights for our society this year.
Our French honor society ran a café fundraiser during parent-teacher conferences. With some of their profits, the members will prepare a French meal including roasted chicken and green beans, a French cheese platter with baguette and mousse au chocolat for dessert. This meal has been a favorite activity for the past two years.
In late April, the Sociedad Honoraria Hispánica and the Société Honoraire de Français will induct their newest members. Both honor societies have already started planning the Multicultural Night, an exciting yearly event that will be combined this year with middle school participants. Mark your calendars for May 20th! It is open to the public and will feature 20+ countries and cultures, and amazing food and dance presentations.
ACADEMIC QUIZ TEAM SUCCESS
The Academic Quiz Team surged into the semifinals on As Schools Match Wits on March 27th and 28th. Watch their championship matches on NEPM or your local PBS station on June 6th and June 13th. Congratulations to the team - Senior MK Mormino, Juniors Arnav and Shaunak Ukidwe and Jane Kelly, and alternate freshman Finn Kappen, for beating out over 30 teams this year to make it into the Top 4!
