Message from Mrs. Reams

Randolph Families,

I want to thank all of our families for your support of the PTA and our APEX Glow Run! This is our first year of using an outside company like Apex. In corporate sponsors alone, we have raised over $9,000 before the individual student pledges began! Thank you so very much for your support. The run is this Friday and the schedule can be found in the graphic above. Keep those pledges and donations coming!

Reminders and Important Information:

We are so excited to be doing an "Angel Tree" this year to help some of our RES families during the holiday season. If you are interested in helping provide a child in need an item or two for the holidays, please come into the office to get one (or more) tags off of the tree. Please return all items by Monday 12/12. Please do not wrap the gifts, but do have the angel "tag" attached so we can get them to the correct families. Thank you so much for your help!

Come cheer on our amazing Girls on the Run at the end-of-season celebratory 5K! The event will take place on Sunday, December 11th at Bryan Park. Girls on the Run festival activities start at 8 AM and the race will start at 9 AM. Directions to the free parking lot at Bryan Park can be found here. Please contact Laura Patrick (lpatrick@glnd.k12.va.us) with questions. We can't wait to see you there!

Students need to remain home until they are fever-free (without fever-reducing medications) for 24 hours, no vomiting/diarrhea for 24 hours, and very importantly, that your child feels well enough to participate in school. Please notify the school of their absence by emailing roadrunners@glnd.k12.va.us and/or calling the front office at 804-556-5385. Thank you for partnering with us to keep our roadrunners healthy!

Calling all dads, granddads, uncles, etc.! We are so excited to have our Watch D.O.G.S. program back again next semester! If you are interested in signing up to be a Watch Dog and spending some time volunteering in our school, please click the link to sign up! Don't wait! The link will close on January 2, 2023.

All five of our schools have been collecting gently used winter coats and jackets over the past 2 weeks as part of our Winter Coat Drive. We have received a considerable amount of donated coats and jackets and would like to give these coats to students in need. If your child is in need of a winter coat or jacket, please complete this form so that we can assist you. Please contact our school social worker, Kristin Dunnigan (kdunnigan@glnd.k12.va.us), with any questions or concerns.

The Goochland County Recreation Advisory Commission will be sponsoring a "Santa Claus" calling program for county children 10 and under! More info can be found in the attachment below.
