Happy Mother's Day to all of you mothers and grandmothers and all who mother children that aren't your own. What you do is so important and we are eternally grateful for you!!
Leadworthy
Coach Slover's Leadworthy classes raised $200 for Meals on Wheels via their hat day on Friday! Congratulations! They worked very hard to ensure the success of this fundraiser! This is a required elective for each 7th grade student. They tackle important issues they encounter in JH and life - and also learn leadership/servant skills. This week they will also receive training on CPR! (A state requirement between the grades of 7-12).
This Week:
Monday 5/12
- Pioneer Park Trip!
- Students Leave around 10:30am
- Please send a lunch (unless your child asked for a school lunch)
- Snacks, drinks (6th students should bring 6 pack of sodas, 7th case of waters)
- sunscreen/bugspray
- CHANGE OF CLOTHES for the bus ride back. Bring a plastic bag to put wet clothes in when it's time to leave.
- Water shoes
- footballs, soccer balls, etc.
- IF they choose to bring a phone, thats fine but CJHS is not responsible for lost or stolen items
- Students will be back in time to catch the bus!
Tuesday 5/13
- Greenbelt Games
- 7th grade girls Healthy Bodies Assembly
Wednesday 5/14
- 8th grade tour CHS
Thursday 5/15
- CJHS Academic and Athletic Awards Ceremony 6:30 pm @CJHS Auditorium
- Your child will bring home an invitation on Tuesday if they will be receiving an award
- (All 7th and 8th grade athletes will need to be present)
Friday 5/16
- 8th grade to Palace Theater to watch "The Outsiders" (Ms. Chappell's Reading classes)
Saturday 5/17
- End of School Dance (See Flyer)
- 8-11pm $5
Next Week
- Next week is the last week of school!
- Tuesday 5/20 will the last day for students not taking semester exams.
- The 8th grade final walk through will be at 3:15. 8th grade parents - plan to be seated at the CJHS auditorium for the 8th grade Slideshow followed by the final walk through the halls.

- First bell 7:55
- 1st Period 8:00 - 8:55
- 2nd Period 9:00 - 9:55
- 3rd Period 10:00 - 10:55

- Grab & Go Lunch: 12:00
- Busses Run @3:30: Please arrange to pick your child up at 12:00 if possible!
