Dear Families,

I hope you are enjoying this beautiful weekend. We had a terrific week at Wessagusset! As we visit classrooms we are so impressed by the thoughtful discussions, engaging lessons, and positive behavior. There is always excitement in the air in October - so much to look forward to! Here are some of the events ahead:

Our new Art teacher, Ms. Katherine Twigg joined us this week! Students were so excited to meet her, and loved their classes. Welcome, Ms. Twigg!

It is almost Boosterthon time! Our annual Boosterthon Fun Run will take place on Monday, October 31st. This year’s theme will be a Costume Fun Run: students can dress up if they wish, as they run to raise money for our school. This year we have a very special raffle for those who register early. The next SEPAC meeting will take place on October 18th at 7:00pm. Learn more about this amazing group here: WPS SEPAC

Picture retakes will take place on Friday, November 4th.

Save the Date: Bingo Night will be held on Monday, November 7th!

One of our school goals this year is to improve our students’ reading fluency - the ability to read with speed, accuracy, and proper expression. Please make note of these Important dates:

Tuesday, October 11th: Half-day with dismissal at 11:50.
Tuesday, November 8th: No school, Election Day/Professional Development
Friday, November 11th: No school, Veterans Day

Thank you for all of your hard work and effort to make this a successful year for your children. I know I speak for all of our staff when I say how fortunate we feel to be working with such supportive families!
