LMS Friends,
We hope you had a wonderful April break!
It has been a great week at LMS! We are back from our break and back into our routines. You probably noticed our tent out front with tables and we have shifted our lunches out of the gym and into our cafeteria, computer lab, and outside.
As we finish up our year, there is much to do and celebrate. As we roll into May, it is that time of year when things start to get pretty busy. Please pay close attention to the Scoop as all important notices are listed here.
We have begun planning transitions for students to their next grades. We have a tentative date for a step up day on June 13th. We are working on a spring carnival of sorts on June 14th and a Recognition Assembly for our 8th graders on June 15th. As details are firmed up on these events, we will send home information.
Have a great weekend. The next Scoop will come out on May 6th.
Regards,
John P. D'Entremont, Principal

Latest Update by Nancy Pageau
Hello and Happy Spring LMS Families!
I hope you all got some well deserved rest over the break as we push through to the end of the school year. Thank you to those families who have provided me with the up to date immunizations that were requested. Please continue to send copies of physicals and immunizations as they are completed.
Reminder that if your child has any signs of illness (examples: runny nose, cough, sore throat, vomiting, fever or bowel issues) they should stay home, be assessed, test for covid and send the test results to the nurse. If you need home covid tests, please let me know and I’ll get them to you.
Once again, here is the link to NH DHHS isolation/quarantine guidelines that our district follows:
National Drug Take Back Day:
On Saturday, April 30, 2022, the Lebanon Police Department will be taking part in the Nationwide Drug Take Back Event. This event is a collaborative effort between the Drug Enforcement Administration, state, and local law enforcement agencies in an effort to remove potentially dangerous controlled substances from homes across the country. If you have these items in your home and wish to dispose of them, this is a great opportunity to do so.

What will happen if a pool comes back positive?
We will follow this process for unconfirmed or confirmed positive cases:
If by chance a pool comes back positive, we will notify the staff and the families of those students in the pool that there is an unconfirmed positive case.
Students/staff in the pool will be asked to monitor for symptoms and will be tested two days later.
After the follow-up testing, those in the pool will be notified of either the negative or positive result.
The person who tested positive will be asked to isolate and close contacts will be notified per the procedures we have been following since the start of the pandemic. The Superintendent will also inform the larger community of the positive test result.

HACTC Tech Camp
The HACTC is excited to offer our one-week Summer Tech Camp to middle school students again! We hope to see some Lebanon Middle School students here at the HACTC for camp this June.
Camp will be held June 20 - 24, 2022 in the mornings.
Some examples of past camp activities include: basic welding, changing a car tire, making homemade pasta and sauce, videography, photography, spa sciences, basic first aid/constructing a first aid kit, Cricut creations, Entrepreneur for a Day, Building a Toolbox, Community Service, and more. We will share this year's complete list of activities when we get closer to June.
We will offer bussing again for schools/towns that send 10 or more students, and will keep you posted once we start to receive camp applications. In years' past we have been able to offer a bus to Lebanon students.
Would you please distribute the attached flyer/application to your 6th, 7th and 8th graders about camp? It is posted here on our web site as well. Campers who attended last year may attend again this year if they are entering 8th or 9th grades - we will be offering new activities to participate in.
Thank you, and please let me know if you have any questions!
