SEPTEMBER 26, 2025 SEPTEMBER 26, 2025

What a lively and fun week it has been, capped off by our exciting Club and Activities Fair! We encourage all students to explore one of our many clubs, activities, or intramurals. These are fantastic ways to make new friends, try something new, and feel fully connected to our Springton Lake community.

Our new cafeteria is really coming to life! Last week, we opened the new bathrooms and snack line, and on Wednesday, students got their first look at the indoor addition. While the space is still being finished, it already features flexible seating with high tops, round tables, and comfy chairs with backs. Work is continuing on additional counter seating, the outdoor courtyard, and a brand-new school store. The cafeteria is quickly becoming a welcoming, relaxing space where students can eat, socialize, and enjoy time with friends.

A quick reminder: next week will be a short three-day week, with observance of Yom Kippur on Thursday and no school for students on Friday. Despite the short week, it’s opening week for after-school Clubs, Activities, and Intramurals. See below for all the details so your student can get involved.

We also enjoyed The Spartan Scoop, our morning TV studio, launching its first studio edition of the year on Wednesday. The Scoop is honoring Hispanic Heritage Month by featuring notable leaders each morning. All episodes are linked at the bottom of this newsletter, so be sure to check them out.

Sincerely,

Ryan Buterbaugh

To keep classrooms focused and learning uninterrupted, all wireless devices, including cell phones, smart watches, earbuds, and similar devices, must be OFF and AWAY during the school day unless a teacher gives a specific academic reason to use them. Students will be reminded each morning to power down their devices.

Please let your child know that you will not be texting or calling during school hours. If a student needs to reach a parent, a staff member can provide permission. In an emergency, the main office is the best way to get in touch. More details are available in the Springton Lake Student Handbook.

Thank you for helping us create a safe, distraction-free learning environment!
