April 20, 2026

Dear NES Families,
Thank you to all who attended our Kindergarten Round-Up for our new NES Tigers starting next school year! We were excited to meet so many of our incoming students and their families, and we look forward to welcoming them to our school community.
If you have a student who will be attending kindergarten at NES next year and have not yet registered, please reach out to the school office with any questions and stop by to pick up a registration packet. Our team is happy to assist you with the process. We look forward to meeting all of our new Tigers next school year! This is also a reminder that our Family STEM Day will take place on Friday, April 24th from 8:15 AM–9:35 AM. Parents must check in through the front office, present a photo ID, and be listed on the student’s Skyward account in order to participate. This is a great opportunity to spend time with your student while engaging in hands-on STEM activities!
Please note that April 24th is an early release day, with dismissal at 11:30 AM. Any transportation changes for your student must be communicated by phone to the front office no later than 11:00 AM.
We are so proud of our Tigers who participated in the District Math Bowl! Thank you for your hard work and for dedicating extra time to practice and prepare for the competition.
We hope everyone has a wonderful weekend! 🌟

New Breakfast/Lunch Procedures - Student Numbers
Dear Parents/Guardians,
This letter is to inform you of an important change in the process for providing breakfast and lunch to students at North Elementary School.
Starting Monday, April 20th, all students will be provided with a unique four digit lunch number that will be used for breakfast and lunch. This number will remain with your child throughout their time in the school system, from elementary school until they graduate high school.
Students will need their lunch numbers to receive both breakfast and lunch. During this transitional phase, students with a backpack will bring home a laminated green card attached to it. Students without a backpack will carry the card home separately. This card will display your child’s name and lunch number.
We strongly encourage you to review these numbers with your children to help them memorize them. This will speed up the process during meal times and ensure a smooth transition for all students.
If you have any questions, please feel free to contact the school and all messages will be referred to Mr. Hickman.
Estimados padres/tutores,

Systematically and chronically inflicting physical hurt or psychological distress on one or more students or employees.
