Principal's Message
The 2024-2025 school year has been filled with so many memorable moments! From Ranch Camp, post-secondary visits, guest speakers and community clean-up…to sporting events, awards ceremonies and so many events that make us PROUD. Many things have gone into a successful 2024-2025 school year but the key ingredients have been outstanding Family support and an incredible CHSPS Staff!
Thank you to Students for contributing to such a positive and welcoming culture! Thank you to Staff for your contributions to optimum Student learning! Thank you to School Council for continuing to collaborate with us in order to make our school the best school!
I want to express how rewarding it is to see this year’s Grade 12 class complete their grade school journey! They have come a long way to say ‘Farewell.’ A final gathering of all our Grade 12 Students Saturday June 21, 2025 will be a great way to celebrate everyone’s accomplishments!
Have a fabulous Summer vacation everyone and see you Tuesday September 2, 2025!

Principal
Treaty Acknowledgement
The land on which we gather, traditionally known as Asiniskaw Sipisis (Stoney Creek), is Treaty 6 territory (traditional meeting ground for many Indigenous peoples). The land provided a traveling route and home to the Maskwacis Nêhiyawak, Nakoda, Tsuut’ina Nations, the Métis, and other Indigenous peoples. Their spiritual and practical relationships to the land create a rich heritage for our learning and our life as a community.

Important Information from the Learning Commons
It’s hard to believe that we are already making preparations for Year End. Each year goes by faster and faster.
Here are a few important things to keep in mind about library books and textbooks as this school year comes to a close:
- Damaged or lost library books or textbooks will need to be paid for.
- An invoice will be sent by email listing the items and cost by June 26.
- Any charges will be applied to your student’s school account and you will be able to pay online as you do their regular school fees.
- If an item is returned in good condition after you have been charged for it, you will receive a credit on your student’s school account processed in September.
- Library books are due by Tuesday, June 17.
- All textbooks are to be returned the day of the final exam - or before if it’s not needed to study for the final.
If you have any questions or concerns, you can contact Mr. Norm Savage at nsavage@brsd.ab.ca or 780 384 3817 (option 4) before June 26.
Thanks everyone!
A great summer = A bit of shade, a hammock, and a book.
