MT Saluting our Veterans
Looking ahead to November, MTMS will hold our annual Veterans Day commemoration on Friday, November 6th. We invite families to submit the names of their loved ones who are veterans or are active-duty service members to be acknowledged at our school program. Additionally, we invite local veterans and current service members who are close to the MTMS family to join us for donuts beginning at 7:45am followed by our school-wide assembly.
Please click here to share the name of any veteran you would like us to acknowledge and/or a veteran who will be attending.
2nd Quarter Athletics
Wrestling and Girls Basketball will be starting very soon! If your student plans to compete, you MUST complete registration on Bound with a current physical uploaded (dated after April 1st) and catastrophic insurance fee of $7.63 needs to be paid through Skyward or by check in the office. These steps must be completed BEFORE they are allowed to practice or try out.
Spelling Bee
Spelling bee season is right around the corner. The first qualifying rounds take place in ELA classes in November. Students, you can begin studying now with the word lists posted to your ELA teacher's Canvas page.
Student Council
Applications to join student council are due Monday, October 12 at 3:05 PM. Be sure to have both the online form and the paper signature sheet in by that time. All information about joining StuCo can be found on the school's student council page: https://mtms.usd232.org/activities/student-council.
Our Cover the Rover fundraiser last Wednesday was a success! We collected $189.94 for KSDS Assistance Dogs, which trains and places service dogs in the community. KSDS alum Jordy paid a visit and received a warm welcome from our students. What a great start to the day!

Box Tops for Education
Remember the old days of clipping Box Tops off of grocery products to raise money for schools? Well, that Box Tops program still exists, and it is SO easy now!
How does the BoxTops program help our school? Since July 1, our school has earned $256.80 through the Box Tops for Education program – and that’s with only 18 MTMS families currently participating. We’d love to see that number go up. Imagine if we could get even 100 MT families to participate!
How can you help? It takes just a few minutes to download the BoxTops app and connect to MTMS, and then you can earn money for purchases you’re already making.
To earn $ for MTMS, you can either:
Scan a receipt into the app anytime you shop, AND/OR
Connect the BoxTops app to an online account(s) (such as Wal-Mart), and it will automatically earn money for MTMS as you shop, without you ever having to do anything else!
This is a great time to get started with BoxTops, as Oct 12-18th is National Box Tops week where you can earn double the Box Tops for purchases you're already making.
To get started, download the app at https://btfe.smart.link/c2jjdifkw?referral_code=ON4R8ZYQ&school_id=43959 and use MTMS's Referral Code (ON4R8ZYQ). Questions? Contact us at mtms.pta.wolves@gmail.com.
