Measuring Student Performance and Progress at the Mid-Year Point

As we approach the end of semester one on January 19th, students have been made aware by their teachers of the end-of-semester testing schedule. In one-semester courses, there will be final exams or projects. If students have these tests, they will be on the following dates for their classes:

  • Tuesday, January 16: Red 1 & Red 3
  • Wednesday, January 17:Blue 1 & Blue 3
  • Thursday, January 18; Red 2 & Red 4
  • Friday, January 19; Blue 2 & Blue 4

If we have a delay or cancellation due to inclement weather on Tuesday, 1/16, Red 1 & Red 3 assessments will take place on Monday, January 22nd.

During this time period, we have also been developing mid-year progress assessments in our full-year courses with the goals of: measuring student progress and learning outcomes, Identifying areas of strength and growth needs, providing students the opportunity to reflect on their learning, and facilitating formative assessment in our classes. Teachers have been working hard to develop assessments that give them and their students important information to guide learning through the end of the year. Teachers will be analyzing and using this data at our next Data Day on January 24th.

Student Drop-Off & Pick Up Location

We remind parents and guardians that morning drop-off and afternoon pick-up should happen in the driveway at the MAIN ENTRANCE to the building, not the south, or staff entrance. We do not have staff there to monitor, and students may not enter the building at that location. All students must only use the main entrance to enter the building.
