Lunch with Your Students
LUNCH VISITOR POLICY UPDATES FOR SPRING SEMESTER
Dear Parents and Guardians,
At Kimberlin Academy, the well-being of our students—physical, mental, and emotional—remains at the heart of every decision we make. As part of our ongoing efforts to ensure a safe and supportive environment, we are updating our lunch visitation policy to better accommodate our students' needs.
Beginning January 2025, we will be able to accommodate six families per grade level for lunch visits. To ensure fairness and equal opportunity for all families, each family may sign up for one visit per month. Additionally, we ask that no more than four visitors attend per student, which includes younger siblings.
Due to the limited number of slots available, it is essential that you inform the school office more than 24 hours in advance if you are unable to attend your scheduled visit. This will allow us to open up the spot for another family.
Thank you for your understanding and cooperation as we implement this new policy. Our goal is to continue providing a positive, healthy environment for all students, and we appreciate your support in making this possible.
Warm regards,
Elizabeth Murdoch, Principal
COUNSELOR'S CORNER
BULLYING PREVENTION WEEK
Parents can be proactive in talking with children about what they are doing and who they are seeing online. The Cyberbullying Research Center provides many resources for parents, educators, and students.
The link below provides a common-sense guide to maintaining open communication between parents and children, as well as some practice questions to maintain as part of the conversation.

Reporting suspected bullying and/or any safety concerns directly to our campus is preferred. This allows us to ask important follow up questions. Parents, students, and staff can also use the Anonymous Alerts app or follow the link below to the website to make a report.
Volunteers must complete a NEW application EVERY YEAR!
You MUST complete a volunteer application to join your student on Field Trips or volunteer for activities taking place during the school day. If you do not complete the application, you will be turned away from the event.
