Certified Nursing Assistant Program
Exciting Partnership Opportunity for Endeavor Students!
Endeavor is proud to partner with the Channelview Career and Technology Education (CTE) Department to provide our students with the same post-graduation certification and job training opportunities available to CHS. Through this partnership, Endeavor students can now earn their Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification in as little as eight weeks by working with San Jacinto College.
Students will complete online coursework at Endeavor, then earn their clinical hours at San Jacinto College and local medical facilities. This program serves as a springboard into the medical field and is offered at no cost to students—with transportation provided!
Students can complete their coursework at their own pace, then they can work towards earning their clinical hours.
For more information, please call the front office at 281-457-0086.

🐦 Conservation Corner
Every spring and fall, millions of birds take off on an amazing journey across North America. Some birds fly thousands of miles without stopping! Many of them travel at night, using the stars to guide their way. BUT bright city lights can confuse them, leading to deadly crashes into buildings and windows.
This is a big deal here in Galveston Bay, one of the most important stopover spots for migrating birds in the country. Our skies are basically a busy bird highway!
The Lights Out Texas initiative reminds us that one small action can make a HUGE difference: just turn off your lights! From 11 PM to 6 AM turn off all outdoor lights and any lights you don’t need on inside during the migration season (August 15th to November 30th). When you flip the switch, you give birds a clear, dark path home. Let’s keep the skies safe for these beautiful creatures!
DID YOU KNOW:
Over 2 billion birds pass through Texas each spring and fall → more than anywhere else in the U.S.
Some birds, like the Blackpoll Warbler, can fly up to 2,000 miles nonstop across the ocean.
Bright city lights cause up to 1 billion bird deaths in the U.S. each year.
🍃 Project Green
In preparation for week 2 of Project Green, Gema is again collaborating with Mrs.Thurik and the Dual Credit English 4 class as a way of implementing cross-curricular instruction on campus. These students are working on a proposal project and Ms. Rodriguez came in to explain some environmental issues that are concerns specific to our area and community. She gave them information on rising water levels, air contamination, and beautification projects they may choose to consider for their English project. These issues will also be part of her Project Green Activity Board next week.

ACT/SAT Info
What is the ACT/SAT test?
Both the SAT and the ACT are nationally administered, standardized tests that help schools evaluate your application and see how prepared you are for college courses. The SAT and ACT generally cover the same topics. Both ACT and SAT scores are used for college admissions decisions and awarding merit-based scholarships. Most colleges do not prefer one test over the other. Neither the SAT nor ACT is harder than the other. Different students tend to do better on one test than the other.
Ask Mrs. Jackson or Mrs. Salinas for more information.
