November Resources and Reminders

November is recognized yearly as National Family Engagement Month. Family engagement with our scholars helps to build relationship between the scholar's parents/guardian and the schools. Research proves that positive relationship and active engagement between parents/family and their child's school greatly improves academic outcomes.

This month students and parents at the ECC, and the WHES participated in the Glow up for Success: RIMP Parent Night .

The Reading Improvement Monitoring Plan involves the collaborative work of the teachers, students, and their parents/guardian to identify the scholars reading challenges and utilize the RIMP as a means for instructional support.

On November 4, 2024 Warrensville Heights High School Juniors Ashley Scott and Isaiah Heyman launched Warrensville Heights Highschool's first podcast titled " Tiger Pride Podcast". The goal of this amazing journalistic endeavor is to increase student and community conversations centered around politics, and the importance of understanding, remaining informed, and being involved in your local, state, and national government. This past podcast covered their points of view on the policies of the presidential candidates and how those policies would affect them personally. Additionally they interviewed a special guest on the podcast, that spoke about her journey within the education sector and how she became a school principal!
