The return of the Peirce Multicultural Fest was a huge success!
Thanks so much to Brian and Simmy Buck and the rest of the planning committee for Friday's Multicultural Night! Peirce families hosted tables representing more than 15 different countries. Kids learned how to write their names in many different alphabets, explored arts and crafts, and learned about history and cultural. We also enjoyed dance performances and an instructional drum presentation. During the dessert potluck Peirce community members savored a wide variety of treats. We are so happy this Peirce tradition has come back and hope it becomes an annual event!

Arlington EATS April Vacation Lunch Program
School vacations often mean less food for families. By offering meals when school is not in session, we strive to decrease food insecurity for families who rely on school meals. Food support is available when school is not in session over the February and April vacation weeks and six weeks in the summer for Arlington students and their families. For lunch support over April Vacation, sign up here by April 4th. For more information call 339-707-6757.
Lost & Found to be donated after April 10
It is time for us to clean out the Lost and Found. As of April 10th, we will be cleaning all jackets, sweatshirts, boots, hats and matching mittens/gloves and sending to Cradles to Crayons. This should allow folks plenty of time to come and grab any items before this date. The Lost and Found is located across from the elevator on the 1st floor. We also have an excessive amount of water bottles without a name. In the future, please consider putting your child's last name on their water bottle.

The Peirce Snack Program, supported by Arlington EATS, provides snacks to any child who needs one (for any reason) so there is no stigma attached to getting a snack at school. Snacks are available in the classrooms and in the main office.
Support The Snack Program: If you have the ability, please consider supporting our snack program by donating snacks. Over the last year demand for snacks has increased significantly while donations have declined. You can purchase off the Amazon wish list by clicking the button below, or by donating snacks or money directly. Donations are welcome throughout the school year.

Be SMART to End Gun Violence Presentation - Thursday, April 4, 7:00 - 8:00PM
Are you interested in taking action against gun violence? You can start by attending a presentation at Arlington Public Schools!
TOPIC: Being SMART Saves Lives
DATE: Thursday, April 4, 2024 from 7:00 to 8:00 pm
PRESENTER: Beth Saunders and Megan Dowd Murray
TARGET AUDIENCE: Be SMART is for parents and all adults who are
concerned about kids, guns, and safety.
What is Be SMART?
The Be SMART campaign was launched in 2015 to promote responsible gun ownership in order to reduce child gun deaths. Whether you’re a gun owner, or you know someone who owns a gun, there is a role for everyone in the conversation around secure gun storage. Be SMART is a framework that parents, caretakers, and community leaders can follow to help keep their communities safe. Ultimately, you can help prevent kids from accessing firearms by storing them securely, and encouraging others to do the same. Because children deserve to feel safe, no matter where they are.
