Frog Street Curriculum
Dear Families,
This week we’re beginning a new theme in our classroom, “Compare and Contrast”. For the next four weeks, your child will be learning to examine his or her environment and identify the similarities and differences between items. In the first week of this theme, we will explore the characteristics of living and non-living things.
This week’s Family Connections activities can be found at https://portal2.frogstreet.com/connections/?bookname=ENG_FC_T4_W1.
This week’s storybook, “Henry and Harry” can be found at https://portal2.frogstreet.com/ebook/?bookname=FS20069_HenryandHarry_eBook.
We’re so excited to continue exploring with your little one!

Heart & Pride Award
The Heart and Pride Award recognizes two outstanding staff members each month who make a profound impact on our students and Gahanna-Jefferson Public Schools.
The Heart & Pride Nomination Form will remain available year-round and is open to any member of our staff, regardless of position.
Monthly Kindness Cart
Each month, we are looking for family volunteers to shine some kindness through small treats/kind gestures with our staff at Goshen Lane Prechool and Clark Hall Preschool. This could be cookies, donuts, coffee etc. The kindness carts will take place the last Friday of each month.
All About the Month of November
November is Epilepsy Awareness Month!
Check out these great resources!
Did you know:
1 in 10 people will have a seizure and 1 in 26 will develop epilepsy during their lifetime.
There are 3.4 million people living with epilepsy in the United States; 470,000 of them are children.
Epilepsy is a neurological disorder that can affect any one of us regardless of race, age, or gender.
Seizures are a symptom of epilepsy. Not all seizures are the same. Many people with epilepsy have more than one type of seizure.
November Celebrations
- November is National Native American Heritage Month, which celebrates the history and contributions of Native Americans.
- November is National Family Caregivers Month, proclaimed in 2012 by Former President Barack Obama. It honors the more than 40 million caregivers across the country who support aging parents, ill spouses, or other loved ones with disabilities who remain at home.
- November is Adoption Awareness Month which seeks to increase national awareness of adoption issues, bring attention to the need for adoptive families for teens in the U.S. foster care system, and emphasize the value of youth engagement.
- During the week of November 6-10, 2023 schools throughout the United States will celebrate National School Psychology Week (NSPW) to highlight the important work school psychologists do to help all students thrive. This year's theme is "Let's Grow Together," inspired by the importance of both personal and shared strengths in our growth as individuals and school communities in every season of life.
