BULLDOG BULLETIN
October 31, 2025
Dear Bulldog Families,
What a fantastic day we had celebrating Halloween at Sarah Adams! Our students had so much fun showing off their creative costumes and parading around the building. It was even more exciting to see so many families cheering us on during the parade—your presence made the day extra special.
A big thank-you goes out to our amazing room parents for organizing and hosting such engaging and fun-filled classroom parties this afternoon. The joy and excitement throughout the building was wonderful to see!
I’d also like to extend my appreciation to all the parent and staff volunteers who hosted cars or donated candy and treats for last week’s Trunk or Treat event. It’s always a Sarah Adams favorite, and this year’s turnout was fantastic—thank you for helping make it such a success!
November is a busy month with parent teacher conferences and report cards coming available. Please be sure to view the calendar below to stay informed of dates. Please also be sure to mark your calendar for your conference with your child(ren)'s teachers! We value this time to connect with you and celebrate our students.
I hope everyone enjoys a safe and happy night of trick-or-treating and has a wonderful weekend ahead.
With gratitude,
Dr. Colleen Conway

IMPORTANT!! OPT-IN FOR TEXTING - STAY INFORMED AND CONNECTED
In an effort to always be prepared to deliver timely/emergency communications, the district contracts with two mass communication vendors - our primary vendor, Blackboard, and a secondary vendor, School Messenger (to be used in the event of an outage with our primary system). These tools enable us to contact you via email, voice mail, and SMS (text message), including during a crisis.
School Messenger requires that all recipients opt-in to receive text messages. Please take a moment to opt-in from your device for text messages so that we are able to reach you when important or emergency information arises if we need to use the School Messenger system.
Opting in is quick and easy - just text “Y” or “Yes” to our school’s short code number, 67587.
25-26 Reading + Craft Session Information
Again this year, we are inviting families with children ages birth through five (5) to join us for drop-in reading and craft sessions at our Early Childhood program (located at May Whitney Elementary School, 200 Church St, Lake Zurich, IL 60047). Families will participate in a read-aloud with their child, followed by a craft and songs/play. Resources regarding developmental milestones will be made available to families, parents will have the opportunity to ask questions of our early childhood team regarding any unique needs for their child(ren), and all kids will get to take home a book!
Please see the flyer linked HERE for information on all session dates, as well as a link to pre-register for sessions. Parents/guardians are required to remain on site for the session (these are not drop-off events).

Safety on Foot & Wheels
As students travel to and from school, we want to remind everyone about the importance of safety. Please take a moment to review these tips with your child:
Always wear a properly fitted helmet when riding scooters or bicycles.
Stop, look, and listen before crossing streets or train tracks.
Use crosswalks and follow all traffic signals.
Stay alert — avoid headphones and phone use while riding or walking.
Be cautious around buses, cars, and busy intersections
We also previously shared resources from the Village of Lake Zurich on E-Scooters, E-Bikes, and E-Dirt Bikes, which can be found [here]. Additional safety resources may be found on the District 95 Safety & Security Website.
Thank you for reinforcing these important safety practices with your student.
