Our Kids Heart Challenge was a success! THANK YOU for your incredible generosity and support in making our community heart healthy while helping others. Click the image above to hear a BIG Thank You from Heart Heroes across the US!
YOU made a difference! 138 students joined our team, 17 families completed Finn’s Mission, and we raised $6,546 for the American Heart Association to help people with special hearts! THANK YOU!
We know how important it is to take care of our hearts year-round, so for additional tips and resources, visit the Parent Corner to keep your family healthy. If you haven’t completed Finn’s Mission yet, you can still log in at http://www2.heart.org/goto/brookhaven or download the AHA Schools app to learn Hands-Only CPR, the warning signs of a stroke and more! Thank you again for your support!

Character Trait of the Month
Perseverance
Students demonstrate the trait of perseverance by continuing to perform their responsibilities and pursue their goals with vigor and tenacity despite frustrations, mistakes, setbacks, and other obstacles that make their tasks difficult or seem impossible. They resist temptations and pressures to give up or quit, choosing instead, to persist as long as they are able.
Key Beliefs:
I will be a better student if I act on the following beliefs:
- When something doesn’t work right, try again and again.
- I am able to resist temptations and pressures to give up or quit, choosing instead to persist as long as I can.
- I will always finish what I start.
- I can learn to face and accept what happens in my life.
- I need to grow from my experiences, including the ones that hurt.
