Attn. Class of 2026 Families: Save Your Student's Google Data
As graduation approaches, we want to remind our senior families that all TVUSD student Google accounts—including Google Drive, Gmail, and Google Photos—will be deactivated 30 days after graduation.
Any files, photos, emails, or other content stored in these accounts will no longer be accessible once the account is removed. We strongly encourage seniors to download or transfer any important documents, photos, projects, or personal files before the deadline.
Students have already received instructions on how to transfer their data using Google Takeout, but families can play an important role in helping ensure that nothing important is lost during this transition.
We encourage you to speak with your graduating senior and make a plan to save any files they wish to keep.
Thank you for your partnership in helping our graduates successfully transition beyond high school!
This version is well-suited for a school newsletter, website posting, or parent communication bulletin.

Victory at Masters: Unified Track and Field Heads to State!
We are thrilled to share some incredible news from our athletics department. This past Saturday, our Unified Track & Field team competed at the CIF Masters Championship Meet, and their performance was nothing short of historic.
After a long day of intense competition, our student-athletes proved that hard work and teamwork truly pay off. Please join me in celebrating Katelyn Mantanona, Jocelyn Huth, Tayden Pollastro, and Riley Amidon for their outstanding achievements.
Our girls didn’t just compete; they dominated. We are proud to announce that all four athletes have qualified for the State CIF Championships this coming Friday, May 29th.
Here is a look at the events where they will be representing our school:
Athlete(s)Qualifying Event(s)
The Full Team Unified 4x100m Relay
Katelyn Mantanona & Riley Amidon Unified 100m Dash
Jocelyn Huth & Tayden PollastroUnified Shot Put
It is going to be a busy and exciting Friday for these four talented young women. They have their sights set on the podium, and we couldn't be prouder of the dedication they’ve shown to their sport and to each other.
Best of luck to Katelyn, Jocelyn, Tayden, and Riley—bring home the gold!
Heart, Hustle, and Inclusion: Unified Sports Banquet
Lunchtime on Thursday was a little louder and a lot more joyful than usual! We gathered in the PAC to celebrate the incredible athletes and partners of our Unified Sports program.
For those who may be new to the community, Unified Sports joins people with and without intellectual disabilities on the same team. It’s dedicated to promoting social inclusion through shared training and competitive experiences—and today was all about celebrating the bonds formed on and off the field.
Highlights from the Celebration:
Spirit Awards: Several students were recognized for their leadership, sportsmanship, and commitment to the "Play Unified" mission.
Shared Memories: We took a look back at the season's greatest plays, showing that while the scores matter, the friendships matter more.
Community Support: A huge thank you to the staff and student volunteers who organized the lunch and ensured our athletes felt like the superstars they are.
Seeing our students support one another regardless of ability is a powerful reminder of what makes our school culture so special. Today wasn’t just about sports; it was about belonging.
Attn. Class of 2027 Families: Clear Outstanding Detentions Before Senior Year
As we prepare for the end of the school year, we want to remind families that any unserved detention hours will carry over into the 2026–2027 school year.
Students who begin their senior year on the school's "No Go List" may face restrictions on participation in certain senior activities and privileges. One important example is the opportunity to purchase a senior parking space during the priority sales period before school begins. Senior parking permits are highly sought after and typically sell out quickly.
We encourage students to take advantage of the remaining days of the school year to complete any outstanding detention obligations and start their senior year in good standing.
If your student has questions regarding their detention status or needs additional information, please contact Mr. Morton or Mr. Ellis for assistance.
Thank you for your partnership in helping our students begin their senior year ready to take full advantage of the opportunities ahead.

PBIS: No Go List and Student Account Remminders
Great Oak High School is committed to supporting positive student behavior and accountability. As part of our PBIS system, we want to remind families about the expectations surrounding detention hours and the NO GO List.
Students who accumulate 8 or more hours of detention—due to tardies, single-period truancies, and/or disciplinary actions—are placed on the NO GO List. When a student is on this list, their school account is locked, which restricts them from making purchases at bookkeeping and on the webstore. This includes items such as dance tickets, parking permits and GRADUATION TICKETS! Additionally, students on the NO GO List are not permitted to attend school events, including WSB activities and athletic contests. For student-athletes, this also means they cannot leave school early for away games!
Students can be removed from the NO GO List by reducing their detention hours to below 8 hours. Opportunities to serve detention include:
Before School: 7:50–8:20 AM (Room 306)
Lunch: Room 306
Saturday School: Counts for 4 hours
We encourage families to partner with us in helping students take advantage of these opportunities to clear their hours, regain privileges, and stay engaged in the full school experience.
If you have any questions, please feel free to reach out to our PBIS Coordinator, Mr. Morton.
