Menlo Park School Weekly Warm-Up

Wow! We are busily getting the school ready to welcome back all our students and greet new ones! Please take a few minutes to read through this warm-up.

Your child's teacher will be available in Genesis late August. Below you will find the general supply lists for each grade. Click the grade level to see the supply lists.

As we move into the new school year, the district has transitioned into a common communication app, Parent Square. All staff will be using this platform to communicate with families. This system allows us to also send text messages, so please make sure you have it set up with a mobile number, as this is the easiest way to communicate and send reminders.

For our new Kindergarten students, our orientation will take place on Tuesday, September 2nd @2:00pm.

Parents/Guardians will attend with their child. They will bring their child to the classroom, then join Mr. Duggan & Dr. Feldman for a short presentation while the students complete an activity with their teachers. Parents/Guardians will then pick up their child at the end and take them home.

Our Back to School Nights will be on:

Tuesday, September 16th: K, 1, 2, Mellinger, Lauder, & Kilroy

Wednesday, September 17th: 3, 4, 5, ESL, G&T, Intervention & Specials

Each night, we will host two sessions: 5:30pm & 6:00 pm. You do not need to attend both. Choose one that works best for your schedule.

This is an opportunity to meet your child's teacher and get a feel for all the exciting learning opportunities your child will experience. Please note, this is an adult only event. Children are not permitted to attend.

You will also have the opportunity to meet with Principals, if you choose.

This year, we will be holding the 5th grade moving up ceremony during the school day. In order to help you plan out your time, the date will be Thursday, June 11th, 2026. Times will be shared as it get closer.

We extend our heartfelt thanks to Ms. Hena Ziauddin for her exceptional leadership and dedication during her two-year term as Menlo PTO Board President. Her commitment, warmth, and tireless efforts have enriched our school community in countless ways. We are truly grateful for her service and look forward to continuing to work with her on future PTO events and initiatives.

In the coming year, most of our after school events will either be on a Wednesday or Thursday evening, beginning around 5:00pm. We have been working with Mr. Duggan and Dr. Feldman on scheduling these events in advance so that you may plan accordingly.

Looking Ahead at some beginning of the year events:

Fall Family Social: Wednesday, September 10th, 5:00pm - 6:30pm

Fall Book Fair: October 6th - October 10th

Diwali Celebration: Wednesday, October 15th, 5:00pm - 6:30pm

While the calendar is subject to change, sharing events early in advance should help you plan your family’s schedule starting in September more effectively. More events will be shared during the school year.

While we are proud to have a policy to not restrict access to PTO by way of charging membership fees, we do appreciate your support, both in your volunteering time as well as monetary support.
