Painless Fundraiser Painless Fundraiser

On Monday, October 19th, we will begin a school-wide fundraising program called the PAINLESS FUNDRAISER.

What is it: The PAINLESS FUNDRAISER gives 100% of the money raised directly to Murchison Elementary, plain and simple. The idea behind this kind of fundraiser is to generate more funds for the school while decreasing the stress on parents and kids to sell items.

How it works: For contactless payment please make an electronic donation using the link below. If you would prefer to send cash or check, please send it to school in a sealed envelope.

Participation is completely optional and any amount is greatly appreciated; no amount is too big and no amount is too small! With convenient online options, donations can come from parents, grandparents, family, or friends near or far.

Our fundraiser will officially run from October 19th through October 30th.

If we reach our $22,000 goal, Ms. Quinney will do a live,

virtual bedtime story & pajama read aloud for everyone to login to!

The class with the most donations will get to watch a movie with popcorn with Ms. Quinney!

Every dollar of your donation goes directly towards enriching our student’s education and supporting our teachers throughout the school year.

Please help us make this a successful fundraising event. We are hoping that this simple process increases participation and more funds will go directly back to our school. Please help us accomplish this!

Thank you for your partnership in simplifying our fundraising efforts!

Every year on October 23 we celebrate Carpe Diem Day. We encourage all students to wear blue or tie dye on this day, as we partake in a day of fun. We recognize this day as a time to be grateful for our lives and Seize the Day!

We would love some volunteers on this day to help students with temporary tattoos. Sign-up here if you are able to help!

Awards Assemblies Awards Assemblies

Our first awards assembly will be held on Friday, October 30. You will know if your child is getting an award because their teacher will reach out to you or you will see that they made all A's on their report card. Report cards can be viewed electronically on October 26.

Students who receive an award will get a dog tag. If your child received a dog tag previous years, feel free to have them wear the chain to school for the awards assembly. That way they can display their previous achievements and add another dog tag to the chain if they get another one! If they have misplaced theirs from previous years or are new to Murchison, they will get a new chain.

Award times are listed below:

7:50-8:10 -- 5th grade

8:15-8:35 -- 4th grade

8:40-9:00 -- 3rd grade

9:05-9:25 -- 2nd grade

9:30-9:45 -- 1st grade

9:50-10:05 -- Kindergarten

As we approach cooler temperatures, the Coats for Kids team is gearing up to partner with Central Texas schools to ensure all kids in need of a warm winter coat receive one. This annual community project collects and distributes more than 30,000 coats to eligible children and teenagers in Central Texas each year. We are excited to provide a coat to every child in your school community who needs one. Students who are 18 or younger from your child’s school (and their siblings) are eligible to receive a coat from Coats for Kids. Here is the link to the coat request form: 2026 Coats for Kids Application. The window for requesting a coat is from October 1 - 16, 2026.
