Sixth Grade Vision Boards Help Students Set Goals
Caron Foundation Resources and Upcoming Student Sessions
Representatives from the Caron Foundation, our community partner for student assistance, will soon be working with our students in grades 6β8 to provide focused wellness programming. Caron Foundation is a nationally recognized nonprofit organization dedicated to prevention, education, and recovery related to substance use and behavioral health. As part of their outreach and education efforts, they partner with schools to deliver age-appropriate, research-based lessons that support student well-being.
In the coming weeks, students will participate in sessions focused on current drug trends, resilience strategies, healthy communication skills, and online safety. These programs are designed to empower middle level students with accurate information, practical tools to help them navigate difficult situations, and decision-making strategies during a critical stage of development. By proactively addressing these topics, we aim to strengthen studentsβ confidence, awareness, and ability to make healthy choices. Please see the images to find family resources from the Caron Foundation to support continued conversations at home.

General Information and Reminders β
Bus Rosters and Changes
Due to increased ridership and the need for consistent rosters for safety, students may not ride buses for which they are not rostered. We thank everyone for their cooperation.
Handbook
The Saucon Valley Middle School handbook can be accessed HERE.
Field Trips - Behavior Expectations
As field and class trips approach, we want to remind families of our expectations for student behavior while off campus. Field trips are a privilege and are intended to be positive, safe, and enjoyable learning experiences for all students. Students are expected to follow school rules, remain with their chaperones, cooperate with adults, and demonstrate respectful behavior at all times. As outlined in the school handbook, students who receive a suspension-level consequence between now and the time of a scheduled trip may be excluded. While exclusion is never our preference, it may be necessary to ensure the safety and enjoyment of the group. Teachers will communicate with families regarding upcoming trips and any concerns related to student eligibility.
iPad Insurance
SVSD Insurance coverage is available for all students (Grade 5 to 12) to cover replacement of the iPad in the event of reasonable accidental damage. The policy will not cover theft or loss of the iPad or the iPad accessories (charger cord, block, case). To learn more and to purchase insurance for your child's iPad, please click HERE.
