First Day Of School
A Message from Mrs. Klaas
Farley Elementary Families,
Tomorrow is the first day of the 2025-2026 school year. The staff has been busy preparing for the upcoming school year. Our custodians and maintenance has worked hard all summer ensuring our building and learning spaces are ready for students. This past week, we welcomed staff back into the building. Along with preparing their classrooms, lockers and all learning materials, they also engaged in professional learning to set Farley Elementary up for a great year of growth and learning.
We look forward to greeting all of our students tomorrow morning. Here is a brief newsletter with some reminders for a successful year. Please be mindful of some changes we are trying with lunch and dismissal.
Let's make it a great school year!

Lunch
This school year we will be utilizing the middle school lunchroom to serve lunch for our Pk-6 students. The elementary will have two separate lunch periods with the first at 10:40 and the second at 12:40. These lunches will be with only elementary students. We will continue to eat breakfast at Farley Elementary.
This serves as a great benefit for Farley Elementary as we utilize our gym for lunch, assemblies and a learning space for physical education. In the past we have had to shut down our gym for over two hours each day in order to accommodate our lunch which significantly impacted our learning schedules. We have increased our adult supervision and put additional procedures in place to ensure that a smooth transition.
