The last day of the school year is Thursday, June 5th for students in First - Fifth grade. This will be an Early Release Day (1:40 pm dismissal). The last day for kindergarten will be Wednesday, June 4th.

5th Grade Clap Out – Last Day of School 5th Grade Clap Out – Last Day of School

Join us as we celebrate our amazing 5th grade students with a special Clap Out on the last day of school! We invite parents to line the front of the building as we give our Jaguars one final round of applause before they head off to Westfield Middle School. The fifth grade students will parade up and down the hallways of DuJardin before exiting the front doors around 1:35 pm.

Help us send them off with cheers, smiles, and lots of Jaguar pride!

Connection Card Survey - Spring 2025 Connection Card Survey - Spring 2025

At DuJardin, we take great pride in creating a school environment where every student feels valued, supported, and connected. A strong sense of belonging is essential for academic success and personal growth, and we work intentionally to build that foundation each day.

To help us understand how our students are feeling, we regularly administer a Connection Card Survey. This brief check-in allows students to share how connected they feel to staff members and peers. It also helps us identify any students who may need additional support.

Below are the results from our most recent survey, which provide us with valuable insight as we continue our efforts to ensure every child feels seen, heard, and known.

Spring MAP Report & End of Year Report Cards Spring MAP Report & End of Year Report Cards

We wanted to inform you that your child’s Spring MAP assessment results will be sent home next week as a hard copy. These results provide valuable information about your child’s academic growth in reading and math over the school year.

In addition, End-of-Year Report Cards will be available to view in ALMA on Thursday, June 5th. Please log in to your ALMA parent account on or after that date to review your child’s final grades for the year.

If you have any questions about the MAP results or report cards, feel free to reach out to your child’s teacher or the school office.

🚗 Neighborhood Safety Reminder 🛑 🚗 Neighborhood Safety Reminder 🛑

As a reminder, please obey all posted speed limit signs and drive cautiously through the neighborhood, especially during school arrival and dismissal times at DuJardin. Please reduce your speed, especially during arrival and dismissal times, when pedestrian traffic is at its highest.

Children may be walking, biking, or playing near the road, and they can be unpredictable. It’s essential to remain alert, avoid distractions, and come to a complete stop at all stop signs and crosswalks. Even a few miles over the speed limit can make a significant difference in reaction time.

Let’s work together to ensure a safe environment for all our students, families, and neighbors. Your caution and care behind the wheel will help protect lives and set a positive example for our children.

Mental Health Awareness Month Mental Health Awareness Month

zoom_out_map

May is Mental Health Awareness Month, a time dedicated to raising awareness and understanding about mental health issues. At DuJardin, we recognize the importance of supporting the mental well-being of our students, families, and staff members.

As parents, you play a crucial role in nurturing your child's mental health. It's essential to create an open and supportive environment where your child feels comfortable expressing their thoughts and feelings. Encouraging healthy habits such as regular exercise, nutritious eating, and adequate sleep can also positively impact mental well-being. Here are some suggestions on how you can help support your child's mental well-being:

  1. Open Communication & Active Listening
  2. Establish Routines
  3. Promote Healthy Habit
  4. Limit Screen Time Practice
  5. Mindfulness Seek Support When Needed

School District 13 is excited to continue the CARES program—an innovative, community-centered initiative designed to improve access to quality mental health services. CARES (Community, Advocacy, Resilience, Engagement, and Support) connects families with local mental health providers based on individual needs, simplifying the process of finding help and scheduling appointments.
