Message from Dawn & Clayton
A huge thank you goes out to our fantastic Fundraising Committee for hosting such an incredible Family Halloween Dance! From spooky-good dance moves to clever, creative, and unbelievable costumes, it was a fun-filled evening for our entire school community. We are deeply grateful for all the hard work, planning, and energy that went into making the night such a success.
We would also like to extend a special shoutout to one of our key event sponsors, The Canadian Brewhouse (Jensen Lakes Team). Their generous support made a massive difference—thank you so much to the team at The Canadian Brewhouse for donating many of our concession items and giving their valuable time to help out at the event!
Thank you to all the families who came out, dressed up, and helped make this Halloween celebration one to remember.
Have a spooky weekend!

Remembrance Day Ceremony
Please join us on Friday, November 6th at 10:30am as our SAM community pays our respects and expresses our gratitude to the brave men and women who have made unimaginable sacrifices for our freedom and peace. Each year it is important that we come together to remember and commemorate the courage and selflessness of those who served, and those who continue to serve, in our armed forces and peace keeping missions.
Students and community members who participate in service organizations (such as Cadets, Scouts, Girl Guides, or junior emergency services) are warmly invited to wear their official uniforms to the ceremony.
Trustees' Holiday Artwork Card Contest
Our Board of Trustees have an annual tradition of asking for student entries for the Trustees' holiday artwork card contest. Deadline for entries to be submitted to the front office is November 20th or you can email your entry directly to communciations@spschools.org.
For more details regarding the context, please visit: Holiday Artwork Card Contest.
Family Voice "What You Shared"
Thank you to all the families who participated in our round table 'Family Voice' discussions. This evening is always a wonderful way to connect with families and learn more deeply about their experiences at SAM and what is valued by our community. For more information about what was shared by the families who attended, click here: Family Voice "What You Shared".
Based on your feedback, our School Council will pursue further conversations in our upcoming meeting about: What information helps parents understand how their child is learning?
What helps you understand how your child is progressing and what helps you know how to support them?
- What do you most want to know about your child's learning?
- What information helps you understand where they're doing well and where they're struggling?
- When and how is that information most useful to you?

Salisbury Greenhouse THANK YOU!
Our Student Leadership Team planned a fun and messy Pumpkin Pull Relay! Teams passed a pumpkin down the line, working together to see who could get the most pumpkin guts out. It was a fantastic way to bring some Halloween fun to SAM!
A huge thank-you to Salisbury Greenhouse for generously donating 20 pumpkins for this event! We are so grateful for community partners who help make learning and school events extra special.
Oil Kings Game - Teddy Bear Toss
We’re excited to share a special opportunity for St. Albert Public Schools staff, students, and their families to enjoy an Edmonton Oil Kings game at a special rate this Holiday Season!
Join us on Sunday, December 6th at 4 PM vs. Prince Albert Raiders for one of the most exciting games of the season, Teddy Bear Toss!
