My Challenge to You My Challenge to You

Today is the annual running of the New York City Marathon. This race has been run in the streets of NYC since 1970. Watching the race on television is very inspiring. Running the race is a life changing experience. In 2015, Amanda and I ran the NYC marathon with her father. I will never forget that day.

Why do I run? I run because I want to be the best that I can be. Running helps me to be the best I can be. How? Running does challenge the physical but more importantly running challenges the mental. That is how I push myself.

How do you push yourself? What do you do that pushes both your physical being but more importantly your mental being? If you are not sure, then I challenge you to find your way to push your limits.

As educators, we are ask our kids to push themselves in our classroom. We challenge them to push their limits. We need them to grow. We create experiences for them to improve. But do we do that for ourselves? Do you do that for yourself?

I believe it is critical that we push ourself to grow and learn each day. In order to help others to push their own limits, it is essential for us to do the same. When we do that, we stay in touch with what it means when we ask others to push their limits.

Think. Achieve. Succeed.
