If you rely on bus transportation from WBHS to OEC, you will still need to catch the bus at it's regular time. If you aren't in 11th grade and need to do that, you can hang out elsewhere at OCC, including the first floor of F outside of our normal classrooms.

OEC Annual 5K for Charity OEC Annual 5K for Charity

Join us for our 11th annual 5K for Charity. Every year we have a 5K where the entrance to participate is items to support local organizations. This is a great event on October 30 and a wonderful way to give back to the community and get outside.

This year we are supporting three organizations by collecting items that they need:

Making Spriits Bright: New and gently used books for ages 0-18

Alternatives for Girls: tissues, paper towels, laundry detergent, pads, tampons, hygeine items, household essentials

The Nest: non-perishable, non-expired food items.

Start sending in your items on Monday to support a great cause!

Prayer Reminders Prayer Reminders

For those that pray durin the school day, a few reminders:

  • Permission slips needs to be on file (copies are available with Mrs. Kremer)
  • We have the boys' prayer room set up in F202 and the girls' prayer room set up in F203 for Monday-Thursday
  • Friday prayer is in J to accommodate a larger group of students
  • During the time for prayer, students need to make sure that they are using the time for the intended purpose and going back to class immediately after. We want you to be in class as much as possible while still having the time needed to observe religious beliefs.

Absences for Vacations Absences for Vacations

Families are encouraged to take vacations during our scheduled breaks. However, we understand that special circumstances may come up. If a student is going to be absent for a vacation, we have a document that needs to be completed and students can get that from me or Mrs. Kremer. It needs to be completed by the student and parent and includes a spot for teahers to sign off signifing that the student has met with their teacher about their absence.

If a family takes vacation while school is in session, students will be responsible to turn in assignments on time via Canvas while on vacation and will have to take all tests and quizzes within two days of their return. Students will not be permitted to miss midterm/final exams due to a vacation. If students are missing an in person college class, they are open to any penalty levied by their college professor.
