Principal's Notes
Dear Families,
April is upon us, and with it comes the important AASA testing period. We know our students have worked incredibly hard, and we're confident they'll showcase their knowledge and skills. Please continue to encourage them to get plenty of rest, eat healthy meals, and arrive at school on time each day. Your support is invaluable during this time.
While we're diligently focused on testing, we're also looking forward to our annual Spring Fling fundraiser on May 2nd from 4 - 6 pm! Get ready for a fun-filled evening with fun at every booth, food, and music. All proceeds will benefit our students and staff. More details and volunteer sign-ups will be sent out soon!
We know the warmer weather and longer days can bring a bit of 'spring fever,' but let's channel that energy into focused learning and enthusiastic participation in our upcoming events. We appreciate your continued partnership!
Sincerely,
Mariebeth Silva, M. Ed.

Quick Tips for AASA Testing
Testing is Around the Corner! Quick Tips for Parents
State testing is coming up, and while it’s important, there’s no need for stress!
Here are some simple ways to help your child feel confident and ready:
✅ Prioritize Sleep – Ensure your child gets at least 9-11 hours of sleep the night before. A well-rested brain performs better!
✅ Healthy Breakfast – A balanced meal with protein (eggs, yogurt, peanut butter) and whole grains (oatmeal, toast) helps with focus and energy.
✅ Stay Positive – Encourage your child with uplifting words like, “Just do your best!” A positive attitude goes a long way.
✅ Be on Time – A calm, unhurried morning helps your child start the day with confidence.
✅ Practice at Home – Reading, simple math problems, and quick review games can help refresh skills without pressure.
✅ Remind Them to Breathe – If they feel nervous, teach them to take deep breaths to stay calm and focused.
A little preparation and encouragement go a long way. You’ve got this, and so does your child! 🎉📚✨
