Dear North Chatham Elementary Families,
Tuesday, September 22, marks the first official day of fall, a wonderful reminder of the growth and change happening all around us. Thank you for the warmth, dedication, and positive energy you bring to NCE each day!
Fostering Community
Thank you to all the families who attended our Back to School Night last week. We enjoyed welcoming you into our school and sharing important information about your child’s classroom and the year ahead. If you were unable to attend, please watch the School Security Slides linked below. The slides include a voiceover for your convenience.
This week, NCE is sponsoring a food drive to support CORA Food Pantry. Families who are able to participate are invited to donate needed food items. Please see the information below for a list of suggested donations. Thank you for helping us care for our neighbors and strengthen our community!
NCE is also seeking a family member to serve as our Parent Advisory Council (PAC) representative. The PAC provides families with an opportunity to share their perspectives and connect with district leaders. Our representative will attend four meetings at Central Services:

- February 25, 2027
- April 22, 2027

Cultivating Commitment
As our students have become familiar with their morning routines, they should now walk independently from the buses or car drop-off area to their classrooms. Families should no longer walk students to class in the mornings.
Staff members are stationed throughout the building and are happy to help students reach their classrooms safely. Thank you for helping us build student independence while maintaining a safe and efficient arrival process.
Encouraging Growth
We are already halfway through the first nine weeks! Families are encouraged to log in to Infinite Campus to review their child’s academic progress. Regularly checking grades and assignments is an important way to celebrate successes, identify areas that may need additional support, and stay connected to your child’s learning.
If you have questions about your child’s progress, please reach out to their teacher. We value our partnership with families and appreciate your support as we work together to help every Jaguar learn, grow, and ROAR!

NCE Cora Pantry Food Drive
Our dedicated Student Service Team (SST) will be hosting a food drive Monday September 21 - Friday September 25 to support CORA Food Pantry!
All donated items will go directly to CORA to help provide food for local families who receive monthly CORA Packs for food assistance.
Every donation makes a difference and helps ensure that families in our community have access to the food they need.
