Postcards will be mailed to K-5 families by August 18th, informing them of their teacher.

On Wednesday, August 26, 2026, from 2:00-3:00 p.m., the buildings will be open. Families are encouraged to stop in to meet their teacher and hear back-to-school presentations.

We will also have members from Island Rec, The Rotary Club, San Juan Public Schools Foundation, and FHES PTO providing information for families. Stop by the FHES cafeteria to say hello!

The schedule is as follows:

2:00-2:30 pm: Back to School Presentations for 1st-2nd in your child's classroom.

2:00-2:30 pm: Open House time for 3rd-5th. Families are encouraged to stop in to meet their teacher.

2:30-3:00 pm: Open House time for 1st-2nd. Families are encouraged to stop in to meet their teacher.

2:30-3:00 pm: Back to School Presentations for 3rd-5th in your child's classroom.

2:00-3:00 pm: Open House time for Kindergarten. Families are encouraged to stop in to meet their teacher.

The first day of school is Thursday, August 27, 2026, at 8:15am-2:45pm

FHES has ordered student school supplies in bulk for grades K-5. The cost is $40 per student. Students will receive their supplies in the classroom.

A new Skyward portal is coming soon! Please check the district website for updates. Once it is live, please log in to Skyward and make a payment. You may also bring cash or a check to the front office.

Breakfast and Lunch will be free for all elementary students this school year.

Please continue to submit free and reduced applications. The information collected on these forms helps our schools receive funding for important programs.

Please remember that No Dogs are allowed on school grounds. This includes the fields for games and practices, in front of the school, on sidewalks, or in parking lots.
