This past week we celebrated our Fall Homecoming, Rio Nights, Trojan Lights!
Students were very excited to express their school spirit by taking a colorful trip to Rio, celebrating the vivid culture of Brazil. They playfully participated in this cultural awareness by reflecting on the 2016 Olympics, hosted in Rio de Janeiro, by wearing their favorite jerseys and sports attire on Monday. Tuesday, students went deep into the Amazon rainforest and came back wearing camouflage and animal prints. On Wednesday, the colorful explosions that are seen at Carnival were present for the grade-level Color War. The grades were doing the samba through hallways in their orange, green, purple, and pink. Thursday, the mighty Trojans were off to the beach, taking beautiful pictures as tourists or catching a wave as a surfer at Copacabana Beach. Finally, Friday rolled around, and the mighty Trojans stormed the walls of Madison in the “Blu” and Gold, cheering loudly as they prepared for their battle this evening for Homecoming against Blissfield. The blue and gold flooded the hallways, camaraderie was high, and Trojans represented themselves by RISING UP with tremendous character and celebrating as only true Madison-proud students can.
Congratulations to Homecoming King, Brian Dopp and Homecoming Queen, Jazlyn Zaszcurynski!
