7th Grade Student of the Month: Logan Kunkel

Logan was recognized by one of his teachers and they said "In IT class we have been working on a building project that is pretty messy. We have to clean up after each period. Each day, without me having to ask, Logan grabs the broom and starts cleaning up the shop (not just his area) and makes sure the floor is clean and ready to go for the next class. I appreciate his willingness to jump in and get things done!" Congratulations Logan! What an amazing example of a servant's heart! You make us proud 😊

8th Grade Student of the Month: Connor Lisby

Connor has been spotted going above and beyond on numerous occasions. He was nominated by a campus staff member who wrote, "One of the most respectful young men at MMS. He always says thank you when I hold the door for him. I've also witnessed him cleaning up after his classmates after breakfast, without being told to. I think he deserves to be recognized for being an amazing person." This is so awesome! Connor, thank you for being such a wonderful example and making our school a better place!

Hope Rising Guidance Lessons Hope Rising Guidance Lessons

What a privilege it is to go into classes for guidance lessons! We recently went in for our first guidance lesson of the year where we got to spend time understanding the impact of HOPE. When we have hope we believe that good things are possible. We spent time discussing that hope makes hardships bearable and that hope IS A CHOICE! We have the POWER to create hope by the choices that we make. In our lesson we also spent time talking about our choice to live drug free! We got to celebrate that choice with a lot of fun days during Red Ribbon Week. Please take a moment to check out just a few of the reasons our students shared for why they choose to be drug free. πŸ’—

  • List things from A-Z that you are thankful for.
  • Have each family member sit in a designated chair. Everyone else shares a reason they are thankful for that person.
  • Play the M & M Gratitude game -------->
  • Get a pumpkin (you can use leftover pumpkins from Halloween if you have any). Each day leading up to Thanksgiving, write one thing you are thankful for on the pumpkin. On Thanksgiving day, share out loud as a family.
