Principal's Message Principal's Message

As we approach the final week of the fall semester, we want to thank our students, families, and staff for a wonderful few months filled with exciting events and meaningful activities. This semester has been a true reflection of our theme of Joy, Connection, and Belonging, with countless moments of bonding and growth within our school community.

Finals will take place this week, with minimum days scheduled for Wednesday through Friday. Dismissal will be at 12:22 pm on these days.

We look forward to welcoming everyone back for the spring semester, which begins on Tuesday, January 7th. Over the break, we hope our students and families take the opportunity to relax, recharge, and spend quality time together. Let’s return in January refreshed and ready to continue learning and growing together!

Thank you for being such an integral part of our school community. Have a wonderful holiday season!

Parking Permit Reminder: Ensuring Campus Safety

A friendly reminder: Students must have a valid parking permit to park on campus. This policy is in place to ensure the safety of both students and our entire learning community. Students who park on campus without a permit may face consequences, ranging from Saturday School to having their vehicle towed off school property. Please take a moment to discuss your student's parking permit status with them today. Thank you for your cooperation in helping us maintain a safe and orderly campus!

Reminder: Independent Study

Just a reminder if you're planning on missing school for one or more days, please reach out to our attendance office to get started on your Independent Study Packet. Please be sure to do this at least one week in advance of your departure.

Winterfest 2024: A Fun-Filled Day Supporting Our Clubs!

Last Friday, our campus came alive with the excitement of Winterfest, a festive ASB-sponsored event that brought together students and staff for a day of fun and fundraising. Held during lunch, the event featured delicious food and drinks available for purchase, with all proceeds going to support our school clubs. To make it even more convenient, tickets were presold Friday morning and during the nutrition break, allowing many to skip the lines and dive straight into the festivities. This event was a wonderful way to celebrate the season, build community, and support our hardworking student organizations. Thank you to everyone who participated and made Winterfest a success!

A Round of Applause for Our Incredible Seussical Cast and Crew!

We are incredibly proud of our VCHS students for their outstanding work in Seussical the Musical! From the actors who brought the beloved characters to life, to the stagehands and crew who worked tirelessly behind the scenes, every student contributed their unique talents to create a truly magical production. A special thank you to Mr. Yarush and the entire Visual and Performing Arts Department for their leadership and vision, which made this show such a success. Their hard work, dedication, and creativity were evident in every moment of the performance, and we are thrilled to celebrate their accomplishments. Thank you to all who joined us in supporting our amazing drama program and cheering on our students—it was a weekend to remember!

A Culinary Celebration: Thanksgiving Buffet Success!

Our Culinary II students showcased their impressive skills during our Thanksgiving Buffet, held the Thursday before fall break. For this special lesson, they prepared a mouthwatering buffet featuring roasted turkey breast, mashed potatoes with gravy, stuffing, candied walnut and raspberry salad, glazed carrots, cornbread, dinner rolls, pumpkin cheesecake with spiced whipped cream, and pumpkin pies—all made from scratch! While the photo captures our hardworking students, it doesn’t fully do justice to their beautifully crafted dishes. The students did an outstanding job, and the food was absolutely delicious!

Supporting Our Families During and After the Power Outage

We understand that the recent power outage has created challenges for many in our community, including access to food resources. To assist families, we have compiled a list of local food distribution sites. We encourage anyone in need to take advantage of these resources. For more information, please click here.
