NEHS News
This edition is dedicated to Mr. Robert Miller, beloved School Counselor at NEHS
September 27, 2026
Why We Wear Red
Robert “Twizzler” Miller was a cherished member of the NEHS family, remembered by all for his easygoing nature, quick wit, and a rare ability to bring a smile to anyone's face. As a dedicated School Counselor, he guided his students through many trials and tribulations, leaving an enduring impact on their lives. Beyond his role as a counselor, Robert was a steadfast friend—the kind of person who was always there with support and humor exactly when you needed it.
Following a courageous battle with colon cancer, Robert passed away in January 2025, but his spirit remains a vibrant part of our community. To celebrate his life and honor his legacy, we wear red each year around his birthday, September 24th.
Though Robert is no longer with us, his kindness, laughter, and dedication will never be forgotten at NEHS. We carry his memory forward in our hearts. Rest in peace, Twizzler; you are deeply missed.
