Principal's Message
Good evening, Borchardt families,
We want to extend a HUGE, heartfelt thank you to all of our parent volunteers who made Friday’s Color Run so memorable! A special thank you to our Borchardt PTO for organizing and supporting such an amazing event—we truly couldn’t do it without you. It was a fantastic day, and our students had an incredible time. ❤️
As we head into May, we have a VERY busy month ahead. Please take a moment to review our calendar and stay connected with messages from your child’s teacher to keep track of important dates and times. We hope you’ll be able to join us for our end-of-year awards assemblies as we celebrate our students’ accomplishments.
Have a wonderful week, Borchardt Bears!
Warmly,
Mrs. Carroll

Staff/ Teacher Appreciation Week!
This week we’re celebrating our incredible Borchardt staff and all they do for our students each and every day. From the classroom to the office, cafeteria, and playground—our team shows up with care, patience, and dedication.
If you’d like to join us in celebrating, a kind note, a quick email, or a few words of appreciation can go a long way. There is absolutely no expectation—your support and partnership mean everything to us.
Thank you for helping us recognize the amazing people who make Borchardt such a special place. 🐻
Color Run Fundraiser
We have raised almost $3,000 so far—an amazing start! These funds help send our students to Science Camp and support fun events here on campus. Although the Color Run has wrapped up, our fundraiser continues through May 8, and we’re aiming high with a goal of $10,000 (just like last year’s Best Day Ever! event!).
If we reach our goal, get ready—Mrs. Carroll and Mrs. Handel will be turned into human ice cream sundaes at our final rally of the year! 🍦
As an added incentive, our top five fundraisers will earn the chance to silly string a staff member of their choice (from an approved list) during our May rally—definitely something to look forward to!
🎉 Current Top Fundraisers 🎉
1. Cayden Rice, 2. Josef Ivan Rana, 3. Jacob Seroyla, 4. Abel Ochoa, 4. Shae Henderson, and 5. Luke Seroyla
Keep up the great work, Borchardt Bears!
We’re also excited to share a photo album from last week’s Color Run—we hope you enjoy reliving the fun and colorful moments from this special event!
As you view and share photos, we kindly ask that you are mindful of others. Not all families are comfortable with their child’s image being shared publicly. Please be respectful when posting on social media by avoiding tagging or naming students other than your own, and be thoughtful about privacy when sharing photos online.
Thank you for helping us keep our Borchardt community safe, respectful, and inclusive for all.
May Spirit Days
We’re excited to have some fun spirit days this month! Both will take place on Fridays, so mark your calendars:
🌴 May 8 – Tacky Tourist Day
Break out your best (or worst!) tourist gear—think bright shirts, hats, sunglasses, and anything that screams “vacation mode!” Get creative and have fun with it!
🤠 May 22 – 6th Graders’ Last Rodeo
Let’s send our 6th graders off in style! Dress in your best western wear—cowboy or cowgirl hats, plaid shirts, jeans, and bandanas are all welcome. Yeehaw!
As always, school dress code still applies for both spirit days. We can’t wait to see our Borchardt Bears show their school spirit!
May Calendar
Families,
Please be mindful that May is a very busy month at Borchardt! We have many exciting events, activities, and important dates scheduled. Take a few moments to review the calendar carefully so you can plan ahead and ensure your student doesn’t miss out. We appreciate your support in helping make this a smooth and successful end to the school year!
Save the Date- Running of the Seniors
Borchardt Families who have a senior graduating this year, please mark your calendars for our upcoming "Running of the Seniors!" Borchardt has a long standing tradition of celebrating our graduating seniors by inviting them back and having them run the Borchardt hallways one last time. Families are invited to come and join in the fun. This year our Borchardt seniors will run on Tuesday, May 19 at 9:30 am.
