News from the Nurse
The Bellefonte Area School District dentist will conduct the state-mandated dental screenings on April 3, 2025, for students in kindergarten, and 3rd-grade students. We strongly recommend that a dentist examine students at the dentist’s office for a complete and thorough exam. If your student has seen a dentist, please submit a completed private dentist exam report to the school nurse. The school dentist will screen any student in K and 3rd grade who have not turned in a private dental exam report. The dentist visually examines teeth. No treatment or cleanings are available. A report will be sent home if abnormal findings are noted, asking for the student to be seen by a private dentist. Please contact your school nurse with any questions or concerns. Again, this is for kindergarten and 3rd, students only.
