MESSAGE FROM OUR PRINCIPAL
Syracuse High Community,
This week, our administration had the opportunity to meet with all of our students in their English classes to review school policies and expectations for the year. These meetings are always a highlight for us—it gives us the chance to connect with every student, answer questions, and reinforce the values that make Syracuse High such a great place to learn. We are grateful to our outstanding students for their attentiveness and positive participation during these presentations.
We also held our first evacuation drill of the year. Safety is a top priority for us, and our students did an excellent job taking the drill seriously and demonstrating preparedness.
Looking ahead, we have some exciting events next week:
-
Club Rush – Thursday, August September 4th:
Students will have the opportunity to explore and join the many clubs offered at SHS. Being involved in a club is a wonderful way to make new friends, get connected, and have fun. During Club Rush, students will be able to walk through the commons, meet club leaders, and learn more about how to get involved. (Please see the alternate bell schedule for Thursday below.) -
Home Football Game & March of the Titans – Friday, August September 5th:
Join us for our home football game and stay afterward for our annual March of the Titans fundraiser. This event is full of fun games and activities as students walk the track to raise support for Utah Special Olympics and Syracuse Unified Sports. It’s always a memorable night and a great cause.
We are proud of the start we’ve had to the school year and look forward to the opportunities ahead for our students to learn, connect, and grow.
Go Titans!
