End of Year Events

As you know, we are interested in expanding to a K-8 school and have been exploring this option for the past year. This plan has evolved over the past few months.

We are now seeking approval for a location in Bethlehem that more than accommodates our needs. This location change requires a new charter application. Our new school, Community Charter School of the Arts is proposed to follow our same arts integration model, with an expansion of community arts opportunities. It is proposed as a K-8 school to open in the 2027-28 school year.

A Bethlehem location has many benefits, including, among others, transportation for all of our Allentown families. This new charter requires approval from Bethlehem Area School District. We have started this process with a hearing last week. See below for a link to the hearing, as well as a link to the presentation we shared, that is not visible on the Bethlehem Area School District's hearing video.

Please join me on Zoom this Tuesday, June 2nd at 7 pm to learn about this exciting new opportunity! The Zoom link will be posted on Dojo before the start time.

We have been promoting a celebration for students who "Make 95!" by being present in school 95% of the school year and are proud to announce our 95% Attendance Luau!

Students how have attended between 90 - 94% will also be acknowledged!

We appreciate your efforts to bring your child for each of our remaining days!

As of May 29:

• 41% of all students have been present for 95% days or more
• 75% of all students have been present for 90% days or more
