Welcome to the Principal's Book Club! I am thrilled to invite you to join me for insightful discussions and a chance to bond over our love for reading. Let’s make this a wonderful experience together! We will meet on Tuesday, October 29th at 5:00 pm in the library at Woods Lake to discuss our 1st book.

Your Cooperation Is Needed!

To maximize student learning time, please ensure your child arrives at school on time each day at 8:44 am. If you need to pick up your child before dismissal for an emergency or an appointment, kindly contact the main office and ensure they are picked up no later than 3:00 PM.

Important Information

1. Monday, October 21, 2024 is a half day and students will be dismissed at 12:06 pm.

2. We are asking for candy and healthy snack donations that are peanut free for our Fall Harvest Trunk or Treat celebration. Please drop off donations to the Main Office no later than October 29th.

3. Tuesday, October 22, 2024 is the PTO meeting @ 6:00 pm. Please see the bottom of the newsletter for additional information.

4. Tuesday, October 22, 2024, 4th and 5th Grade Dance Companies are attending a field trip to Miller Auditorium.

5. The School Store Fundraiser is going on now. Please read additional information at the bottom of the newsletter.

6. The 1st Principal Book Club Meeting will be held on Tuesday, October 29th at 5:00 pm in the library at Woods Lake. Please read the newsletter for additional information and how to purchase the book.

7. Please complete the Education Benefit Forms so your child can continue to receive free breakfast and free lunch. Please access the form at the bottom of the newsletter.

Message from the PTO President, Amber Nettleton

Hey families!

All are welcome to attend the upcoming PTO meeting, which will be held at the school library on Tuesday October 22nd at 6 p.m. We will be highlighting our First Grade Teachers and the special joys and challenges of First Grade. Help us plan and discuss upcoming fun events for students and families! There is an online option, if you would like to listen in. The link to join online is: https://meet.google.com/jpt-avnf-utg

In addition, students came home with a fundraising packet from the School Store, an online fundraiser we've used for the past several years. All students need do to earn a prize is follow the instructions on the front of the packet and return their folder to school- it is that simple!

This fundraiser allows Woods Lake to receive cash earnings from several participating companies, including major retailers. Also, this fundraiser allows for the purchase of Caring for Classrooms gift cards that directly benefit your child's teacher for classroom supplies and learning materials. No Same Day Bus Changes

1. We can't make same day bus changes.

2. If you have to make a transportation change then contact the Main Office.

3. Once the change has been made then you will be contacted.

4. Your student(s) will have to ride their assigned bus until the change has been made or you will have to transport your student(s) to and from school until the change is made.

5. Please contact the Main Office no later than 3:00 pm if you have a dismissal plan change.
