Greetings Wildcat Families!

Thank you for another wonderful week at Woodland! On Monday, October 12th, students and staff will be out for a Student Holiday, and the building will be closed. We hope everyone enjoys the long weekend and has an opportunity to relax and recharge.

I would like to extend a special thank you to our staff for their professionalism and care in handling this morning's situation. Out of an abundance of caution, information regarding a potential threat at several North Fulton schools was shared with our leadership team. I want to reassure families that Woodland Elementary, our students, and our staff were not directly impacted by these threats. The safety and well-being of our students remain our highest priority, and we appreciate your continued trust and partnership.

We are proud to announce that Woodland Elementary School will be recognized at Tuesday's Fulton County Schools Board Work Session as a 2026 Title I Distinguished School, an honor awarded to Georgia's highest-performing Title I schools. This recognition is based on our outstanding 2025 CCRPI English Language Arts and Mathematics Content Mastery results. While Woodland is no longer designated as a Title I school, we are incredibly proud of our students, staff, and families whose hard work, dedication, and commitment to excellence made this achievement possible.

Thank you for your continued partnership and support. We look forward to welcoming our students back on Tuesday, October 13th for another exciting week of learning.

Join Fulton County Schools as we celebrate National School Lunch Week, October 13-16, with a fun-filled circus theme, "Cafeteria Circus: Where Nutrition Takes Center Stage!" Students can look forward to exciting new menu items, special prizes, surprise activities, and guest celebrity servers throughout the week.

Featured highlights include NEW Pepperoni Bites, Churro Bites with Chicken Drumsticks, Dole Whip, and Sidewinder Fries with Texas BBQ (Turkey). Students will also have opportunities to win prizes through our Lucky Tray promotion and a Grand Prize Circus Grab Bag giveaway. On Friday, special celebrity servers, including school leaders and staff members, will help serve lunch as we wrap up the celebration.

We invite all students to join us in the cafeteria for a week of delicious meals, fun surprises, and circus-themed excitement under the big top!

What an incredible Wildcat Run. Thank you to our students, families, teachers, staff, volunteers, donors, and everyone who helped make the day special. Although our Wildcats have crossed the finish line, fundraising isn’t over quite yet. All donations are due Friday, October 9.

🍂 FALL FESTIVAL IS COMING!!!
Mark your calendars! Woodland’s Fall Festival is Friday, October 30! We’re excited to welcome the cooler fall temperatures and all things cozy with families at this beloved, carnival-style community celebration.
We’re planning bounce houses, Trunk-or-Treat, food trucks, visits from the Sandy Springs Police and Fire Departments, a movie under the stars, and more!

This is one of our favorite Woodland traditions, and we can’t wait to celebrate with our Wildcat community!

🍬 HELP FEED THE CANDY MONSTER!
Our Candy Monster is hungry and needs your help! We’re collecting candy donations for Fall Festival, and students can feed the monster on their way to class each morning. Just look for it outside the admin offices and drop in a little treat to help make Trunk-or-Treat extra sweet! Every donation helps make the fun possible for our Woodland Wildcats.

Proceeds support SSEF’s programs in all 10 public schools in Sandy Springs.
