The MES PTO needs help for the End of Year Awards!

DECORATING VOLUNTEER: Come after school on May 19 starting at 2:00pm and will finish by 3:30/4:00. The more volunteers, the better. If you need to come a little late or leave early, please still come. Every helping hand is important!

AWARD ASSEMBLY VOLUNTEER: Help the office with various tasks that will come up due to awards.

DECORATION CLEAN UP CREW: Help take down and store all decorations from awards assemblies.

Due to prior commitments for some members, we needed to change this month's PTO meeting to Monday night instead of Tuesday. We hope you can make it!

We have some garden beds in the back that we are working to utilize. A volunteer organization cleaned them up for us and a wonderful parent did some planting. If you are available to help water during drop off, pick up, or at lunch, let me know and I can put you in touch with each other to coordinate a schedule!

Hendrickson High School is having their annual plant sale. Please see information and the flyer below!

Sale Dates:

May 7-8th: 8am-6pm
May 9th: 8am-12pm

Location: Hendrickson AG BLDG/Greenhouse (Located in the greenhouse, behind the high school next to the water tower.)

We will be accepting cash, check, revtrak, and other online payment!

All details are attached to the flyer in this email, as well as a QR code that contains a list of available plants with photos!

May is Brain Cancer Awareness Month. This disease has touched many people in our school community and the families and friends of staff. Please join us by wearing GRAY every Friday this month to show support and help spread awareness.

Tell your friends and neighbors who have a High School Senior who attended Murchison: we would love to see them for the Senior Walk! It is on May 18 at 8:00 am. Seniors should arrive to Door 3 at 7:45 am so that we can begin the walk promptly at 8:00.

Our End of Year Awards Ceremonies are coming up in just a couple weeks. Every K-5 student will get an award! Awards Ceremonies will be held in the Gym.

Wednesday, May 20:

9:00 4th grade

10:00 3rd grade

11:00 Kindergarten

12:00 1st grade

1:00 2nd grade

Thursday, May 21:

8:00 5th grade

*5th graders will do a final "5th grade walk" through the hallways at Murchison at 7:45, then begin awards at 8:00.

Favor is running a fundraiser for us through May 31. Any order placed with MES designated earns 15% back, whether it's groceries or deliveries! See the flyer below for more information.
